Repair bills.

Hello there,

One annoying problem I face is the logic of repairing armor.
A level 9 armor costs 8-9 Iron Ingots and on the EU megaserver, it's 400g to NPC per stack (100 of them) or 500-600g from players.

So according to the NPC; charging you, say, 150g to repair that 1 piece of armor which is a staggering amount and the repair bill is probably more expensive than the armor itself.

Solution:
- Allow players to repair their armor, just as they can enhance it, decompose it, etc...
The repair kits that are given, again, are normally worth more than the armor itself.

Counter arguments:
I understand that the economy has to grow, and inflation WILL happen at some point and that 1.5kg to repair a whole set of armor will be measly pennies, but at the moment, I am struggling to keep up repair with a consistent flow of income.

Thoughts and constructive criticisms will go well :)

There have always been things I found funny:
I can craft items that I can't repair.
A cook can repair my items. :)

I have little to say on the matter, but there are others that do.

But what else do you really have to spend your gold on?

    Quite a few things :open_mouth:
    - Mounts
    - Bank space
    - Gear
    - Glyphs
    - Enchants
    - Inventory Space
    - Motifs
    - Alts

Just to list a few :)

    :)
    Point taken.

I guess I just have no worries when I feel all things in their time
    .
My gold has gone to feed for my Mounts, Bank space, and last would be Repairs.

Will get the Ancient, Daedric, and other motifs when I get them. Have 1-10 on my 3 characters that craft my weapons and armors.

Make all my gear, potions when I want, food and drink, and enchantments.

My bad, and I am sorry, as I forget that many people are not craft heavy with alts.

I think the biggest goldsink this game has so far, is the mounts and repair. Feeding the mounts isn't too much of a dent, but a 1.5kg repair bill, ugh :(

When your armor is repaired, any enchantment on it is also 'restored to max'
So the repair cost also includes a 'Soul Gem' fee.

Still, its insanely high! (4k to fully repair at V7 full purple gear)

armor does not lose its enchantment nor does it have to be restored. No TESO game has ever worked this way.

There is a particular staircase in the Hollow City that I have gotten stuck in more times than I can count.

Someone mentioned this above ^^ I just hope that ESO staff team will act on the topics being made. Repairing armor on low level toons with a poor income is very difficult to keep up with, unless you get extremely lucky with loot.

DO NOT REPAIR LOWER LEVEL ARMOR!!! Or conversely send me the money you would have spent on repairs and I will send you a new set of armor...

Wear white armor, when it breaks, craft a replacement, alternately replace it with dropped armor. You level so quickly in this game, just replace it, don't repair it. Now as you hit 45+ leveling takes a little longer, but I still just replaced it.

At VR2, I finally started repairing again, simply because I also finally started using 3 different 3pc sets and it's a pain to run around and recraft them. If you are running purple gear, I get it, but I still don't understand it...even at VR ranks the mobs are manageable in white or green,

If you're falling you can't un-equip your armor... At least I couldn't when I tried.

@Chrisu: Yeah, but my Skooma soaked brain at times tends to forget those small little details. :# /DOH! :# Still though, it's a PITA at times to do, especially if the reason why I'm hitting town is because my bags are full. ( @ZOS Marked as Junk should be it's own 20 slots, separated from bag space... /sarcasm-ish)
