Group dungeon quest problem

Could someone clarify a few things for me?

We have 3 group dungeons per zone, one of which is for our own faction and two which are for the other factions but can be completed nevertheless. My first question is that do we get skill points from each and every group dungeon? Do we need a quest to get the skill point and if we do, where the hell are the quests? I've tried to google for the quest givers but can't find anything.

I remember getting just one or two quests from the group dungeons and I have done 4 of them so far. Now if we only get the quests and skill points for the one dungeon which is in our own factions area, this would make sense but I heard we're supposed to get skill points and quests for the other group dungeons as well?

Finally, is there anyway to see which Group dungeon quests you have completed? I can see which dungeons I've cleared but apparently you can clear them without the quest as well.

I would really appreciate any help! :)

Each group dungeon has an associated quest, which can be picked up at the start of the dungeon. Each of those quests grants a skill point in addition to their item reward.

As Nerevarine stated, you get a skill point upon completing the quest for every dungeon (even other factions), the quests themselves start in the dungeons. As a side note, make sure everyone in your party is in the dungeon before you accept the quest, otherwise they may get locked out of said quest.

As far as seeing dungeons completed, there are sorta two ways. First would be to look at your achievements. If all you did was go through and kill bosses, you should have an achievement for completing the dungeons. It'll be located under Dungeons>Group Dungeons in the achievements tab. Second would be to look at your map. If you have done the quest for a dungeon, and thus gotten the skill point associated, the dungeon icon will turn white. Similar to how other areas on the map turn white when you complete their associated questlines.

Thanks Nerevarine and Lalai! However now I ran into another problem. Using the group finder it doesn't show any of the lower level group dungeons for me anymore! All I see are the level 35-36 dungeons. I can't go in front of the dungeons to search for people that way either since you teleport right inside the dungeon... So confused :disappointed:

Your best bet is to go to the level appropriate zone and look in zone for a group, or shout in zone for one. You could also ask people in your guild to go back and do them with you. I've usually found a lot of success going the guild route. Seems like a lot of people skip over the group-based dungeons, so going back over-leveled for quick skill points doesn't seem to be a problem.

If you go the zone chat route, be sure to mention your level to whoever you're wanting to group with. The exp from mobs in dungeons is low to being with, so it shouldn't matter, but some people are picky.

For going back to [much] lower group dungeons: is it possible to go solo into a group dungeon? How many levels should you be over the dungeonlevel that you can solo it (average player - not powerplayer)?

It's possible, but difficult. People solo the first tier dungeons at 30+.

Pretty much everything after the first tier can't be soloed due to boss mechanics.

That's disappointing. I remember videos of someone soloing the second tier; he was in veteran ranks. I suppose later dungeons couldn't be soloed regardless of special mechanics, because you can't overlevel them enough. But out of curiousity, what boss mechanics are you talking about? I haven't had time for dungeons lately, so I'm not familiar with the more difficult bosses.

Some bosses have stuns, etc. that need to be broken by another player. And it's not disappointing at all. Group content shouldn't be soloable.
