Have you rejected the offer during "Council of the Five Companions"?

Did any of you choose NOT to join the other 4 companions when given the option? If so, what happened? I got this option, chose to join them, but now i'm curious as to what would happen if i didn't. Finished the quest, so i can't go back and redo it without leveling another toon that high. If you have rejected them, please enlighten us and let us know what happened, or if anything really changed at all.

I chose not to. Nothing notable changes. Just the response from Sai. He reluctantly agrees that perhaps, it is for the best, and the convo with him ends.
