What happens to VR levels after level cap has been raised?

pavelcherepanskyrwb17_ESO
I couldn't find this info anywhere and so I was facing a dilemma: I level quite slowly (I'm only at 28 now on my main) and so I was thinking that I wanted to experience story lines of all factions before I go to Veteran and with my leveling rate by the time I get three toons to level 50 the expansion will come out and level cap will be raised to, say, 60...

For example, I push it harder and do get to VR10 on one of the toons. When expansion comes out will I automatically be level 60? Then all the new content 50-60 will be extremely boring and I'm not playing computer games to be bored  Are there any major advantages to being VR10 apart from being able to annihilate multiple normal level chars in Cyrodiil and having a fancy high-level armor set?

They've already said that Craglorn will add VR11 and VR12, presumably they are only adding Veteran levels at this point.

Wow... that's brutal. So I get it that to be able to experience the new content everyone will have to, at some stage, get through VR1-10 grind? I mean, I don't really mind it, but then again, if I have completed quest lines for all factions on normal levels it would be slightly booooooring :sob:

Well, it's not a grind if you don't grind.

More importantly, they've already said that they're more than doubling kill XP for Veteran ranks when Craglorn comes out.

The only thing that I have seen that I can remember was player kill xp in pvp.

    http://www.reddit.com/r/elderscrollsonline/comments/24h8dv/welcome_to_the_zos_aua/ch74jq8

And a comment that they do not plan to change pve xp at this time.

    http://www.reddit.com/r/elderscrollsonline/comments/24h8dv/welcome_to_the_zos_aua/ch739ga

Maybe just a confusion based on those comments?

Edit: It says it in the following link "Additionally, the veteran XP earned from killing enemies has more than doubled." Not sure if that is an ambiguous reference that should only mean pvp (based on the AMA quotes above), but it does imply pve when you read it standalone.

They might not fall into the wow trap, where new levels are added with each expansion.

Its very frustrating in the long run.

What they seem to do is adding Vet ranks with each new content patch, like now with Craglorn. In the future they probably also add new abilities, story and skill lines so that you will be able to use the skill points from the new VR ranks there.

The level will most likely stay the same, which I think is the right way in an MMO.

It's not an ambiguous reference. That patch note has been clear from its introduction that veteran leveling is going to be faster all-around. They would have said "players" or "in Cyrodiil" if they only intended it to apply to PvP kills.

VR leveling by grinding was slowed before craglorn to stop too many from reaching VR10.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Why even bother level 3 CHARACTERS to 50(VR1). Just Level your one main character up. You will experience all 3 alliances storyline with just that 1 character. aand beside that you level up your character.

There will not be a LvL 60 or something. Just as explaination.

    Your Alliance : LvL 1 - 50(VR1)
    Next Alliance : VR1 - VR6
    Last Alliance : VR6 - VR10

    Craglorn : VR10 - VR12

All on the same Character. If you already struggle with leveling 1 character, dont bother playing 3 to VR1. Since you experience all 3 alliances storylines on just 1 Char.

Veteran ranks gets you Skillpoints(quests and skyshards), better gear etc. On top of that you get more challenging Content. Theres no point in leveling multiple characters only to VR1. Veteran ranks is just a new name for levels at 49+

(pls quit calling your character toon)

The exploiters ruined that idea and are in anticipation of exploiting craglorn the same way.

Yeah, we all see how good that did for those reaching V10 in days.

So punish those of us who enjoy to grind by nerfing mob xp, and...not punish those who exploited and got V10 before the nerf.

    Makes sense.

I want to experience storyline as it is on reasonable levels. I've spoken with people and everyone says that it's not the same on VR levels. And I don't want to help Dominion *** when I'm a loyal EP citizen! But if I'm a Dominion citizen it feels all right

I'm not struggling with leveling lol, I'm just taking it slow (job/wife commitments). I started on the first day of early access and my main has /played at 2 days and 20 hours. I guess it's not too much, considering that it's been almost 40 days since early access...

I read somewhere that you stop getting exp in your skill lines when you hit the cap. Is this actually true? Because it would be sort of funny if they added a new skill line no one at max level could use.

Im also in the same boat. I don't mind grinding out mobs, or pvping for veteran ranks, but i really don't see myself doing other faction s quest. Seems wrong to me somehow.
