So, uh, where/how can you get the Argentum/Malachite/Copper/ Daedra Hearts?

Hi all.
So being the genius that I am, I took the cash I had made from levelling about 20 characters to 10-15 before deciding to reroll them and start anew, and purchased the Ancient Elf and Primal Motifs (actually might be barbaric now that I think about it..) Anyway, bought the motifs, like a champ I never thought to ask about the metals you need to actually craft these.
Anyone able to tell me what zones they first appear in? Do they appear in desks/wardrobes/sacks like they do in lower level zones or are they only drops from mobs?
Basically wondering if I can get my hands on some by running a level 20 into the zone.
Also curious about the Daedric hearts, although won't be able to afford that one for a bit.

Not sure where they are now, but in the past I've bought them from crafting vendors. If they're not there, you may have to find they via deconstruction.

Starting around level 25 or so you will begin to drop weapons and armor that are made in the Primal/Barbaric style. If you break these items down you will get the Argentum and Copper. I have found around 20 or so of each this way going from level 25-40. I assume that the items for Ancient Elf and Daedric also drop this way, either at higher or veteran levels as I have yet to see any.

Thanks! I'll try a (hopefully non suicidal type) run to some of the crating vendors in those higher level zones.

I get them as drops (infrequently), in desks and nightstands in the higher level zones (more frequent), and deconstructing primal/barbaric gear. I've not seen them sold by any vendors, but tbh I don't check vendors much, except to sell stuff. You will get a lot of copper argentum, but daedra hearts are a little harder to come by.

Your personal experiences will likely be much different then anything anyone says here. I've never seen a single piece of copper, and I'm a loot wh***. Most of the rare crafting motif's for me come from deconstructing high level gear and from crates, etc... So far 0 daedric hearts and 0 copper. I wouldn't be surprised if Daedric hearts were cold harbor +, or maybe even VR1 +. Copper I think I just have terribad luck getting, as others say they have 1-2 pieces.

Also, you need at least crafting skill in either clothing, blacksmithing, etc.. to have at least 6/9 (this is your abilities menu > Crafting > first skill in each of those trees which allows the use of different resources). It's horribly confusing the way it's written as I tried reading primal/barbaric books and one is 6/9 while the other says 7/9, so each rare motif has greater requirements.

You tend to find more of the rare motif mats in VR zones, but you can get them at any level. I started stockpiling Argentum and Palladium around level 10.

Well maybe you guys can, I realized 5 or 6 MMO's ago that lucky drops do not happen to my characters . Thanks all!

Argentum and Copper I've found in containers like those above me have posted, the only way I have found Palladium (there is no malachite) for ancient elf is from deconstructing ancient elf gear, and the only way I've found Daedra Hearts is from deconstructing daedric gear, which I occasionally get from world boss drops in coldharbour, also the daedric weapon/armor rewards from the quests there.
