The Final Assault Aftermath [Spoilers]

After the final assault and after you place the light of Meridia, it is implied that Darien dies pushing the king through the portal, but I have a question about Kireth and Raynor Vanos.

After completion of the quest, are they still at home in their consultants quarters in the Hollow City, the quest dialogue mentions nothing of them, and I want to make absolute certain that I didn't do something to get them killed before I turn the quest in.

Thanks!

To answer my own question, and just in case any others have the same concern, yes they do end up surviving. While they weren't there at the final fight, Meridia shielded the entire battlefield.

Just done this quest, it seems like Hollow City is stuck in phase just before the final attack. Even King Dynar is fine and well outside Fighter's Guild Hall. Even though you just watched him die. If you return to the Chapel of Light, the King is still there, dead on the floor, so it is definitely not some resurrection miracle.

Step outside, and every single NPC dialog says that the final battle has not happened yet.

Maybe minor thing overall, especially for people who want to hit VR10 apas and ignore all dialogs, but for me it is gamebreaking. I read every quest, speak to every intractable NPC. And now instead of feeling great about saving this pixel world and all those pixel people I feel WTF?! What was the point or playing if the deed was not even registered by the game world? I could understand if this game did not have phasing, and thus such things would be necessary not to break other people quests, but this game HAS phasing, so why state of the world did not change for me?

Honestly, at the moment I do not even want to continue playing and do the final quest because of it. What a way to ruin the story finale.

I feel you Thrawniel, I'm the same way with my story, almost to a fault. Another one I've noticed for the Hollow City in particular is even after saving Stibbons, the female noble he takes care of still speaks as though he is gone, even though he's standing right next to her.

It's small stuff, but bugs me a little bit none-the-less. Hopefully after the big fish are dealt with they can consider some of these things.

While situation with Stibbons is unfortunate, it is just a minor sidequest (though I really wanted to see their reunion!). But the whole post-Final Assault Hollow City should have been the part of main quest(since it is full of NPCs that were involved in said quest directly). And one would think they would put more effort in the main quest.

Which is a shame, really, since Coldharbor quests have the best writing in game in general. So I anticipated something big after the main story.

But no, not even pat on the back from allies, because as far as they are concerned, saving the world never happened:(

I really hoped I got some stupid bug, to be honest.
