What the Hedoublehockeysticks?

Why is there such a huge jump in difficulty from 1-50 gameplay to VR gameplay? I breezed through 1-50 gameplay with very few instances of needing to make even a second attempt at any mob, boss or regular. The first pub dungeon I go into in VR play and the difficulty is far higher. Right now I'm stuck on the first boss, The Crow Mother, and while I may be able to change up my spec enough to figure her out solo, I am going to have a repair bill in the thousands from the deaths just getting to her AND the several deaths I have in already trying to figure her out.

So I ask why the huge jump in difficulty?

Because if it was easy it would get boring. Once you figure out how to survive you do fine.

Shhhhhh not so loud or they may nerf it. I am loving the higher level difficulty in an mmo for once.

VR is supposed to be 'endgame' or better harder content (50+ and 50++)

Crow Mother is vulnerable to knockback. I used Fire version of Destructive Clench (Destruction Staff), just try not to get her near walls, or she might stuck there.
Oh, and you can avoid most of mob packs on the way, if you're clever.

About "endgame difficulty" - every other public dungeon on VR that i've seen is easier.

"You're smart. Get corprus disease. Get killed by corprus monsters. Get killed by Vistha-Kai. A very good plan. Plunder the dungeon of a 4000-year-old wizard. What could be easier?"

I play a cloth-wearing-staff-wielding squishy and I agree that the public dungeons did have a large difficulty spike. That being said, its easy to just poke around in the entrance until someone wearing platemail and carrying a huge sword rolls through and starts decimating everything. Follow them around and AoE. Complete quests. Get loot. Not even talking about grouping, though that's certainly an option, just there is rarely a shortage of people coming through the same areas.

Of course, when there is a shortage, it can be frustrating.
