Hi,

aside from the whole "VR ranks take too long and feel very grindy" discussion, i humbly request to allow us to use the party finder for all Veteran dungeons and don't "force" us to actually enter this VR xp grind fest.

I understand that the higher dungeons are supposed to scale up and u want to prevent "unprepared" groups to have a bad experience. The problem is that in PvE i can run ahead 2 zones and if u choose so try to kill monsters 7 levels ahead of me.

I finished all the 3 VR dungeons a couple of times and i'm still only at VR2, since i refuse to take part in questing in this elfish/LotR looking area. I'm also so tired of those quests, since i completed like 500 quests and was looking forward to play "real" dungeons.

So open up all VR dungeons to us, if we so choose. Keep showing the "suggested" VR level, ofc if u could scale those dungeons a little this would be even better.
[NOTE: To prevent difficulty degradation, i retract this "little" scaling idea, so keep them the same even for a full VR1 group!]

I simply think after 60 hours of quest grinding, some players like me would love more than 3 dungeons. We also would like to-be able to actually level VR ranks, without grind farming only 2 easy bosses in certain dungeons.

How about some dungeon xp scaling system where u get big VR xp at the end of a finished dungeon multiple times, but the amount reduces or increase the difficulty after each successfully run?

I really do not enjoy questing in "elf land" or mindlessly grind some easy, fast re-spawning elite mobs. I'm a "Veteran" so give me challenging Veteran worthy content/jobs, to gain VR xp.

As a example, at the end of the main quest they give u this cheap reason "experience the story from a what if standpoint in a other faction", my answer would be NO i'm not interested in this "what if" scenario, since i already just finished the story and most quests follow the same layout no matter what faction u pick.

I don't really want to search for a fourth member for our VR10 dungeon and get a fresh VR1 in my otherwise VR10 party. I have no problem with you zoning in with a group you made and showing that VR10 dungeon what a skilled lowbie can do, but I don't want to carry someone through the dungeon that is not ready. I also don't want them tuned down to VR1, because I want some challenge for my VR10 group.

I can understand this, just add a little check-box to the party finder than to prevent this scenario. I simply question the logic that a V7 group running a V6 dungeon with a V4 healer will fail, because he is no V7?

Think about it the other way around, u queue for a V6 dungeon and already waited 30mins, now a V3 healer/tank shows up. What do u do wait or give it a try?

U picked the most extreme example ofc, but i noted that u still show the "default assumed VR rank". So a VR1 player will probably be a little scared to queue up for a VR10 dungeon.
Its more for players like me, that have finished all VR1-3 dungeons and would like to give VR6 a shot or at VR5 give VR10 a shot.

They need more content other then other faction story to cover the content or lack there of from Vr 1- 10 . more dungeons with a better tiering system would help and another AZ besides craglorn that had group content from Vr 1-10 . the addition of craglorn is bringing additional Vr ranks anyhow.

    Agree.
The balance is off where some of the T2s are easier then T1s anyways, so giving us the full suite earlier would be preffered.

I know tons of V4-5s that are way way better then most V6+s, so just sucks I can't take the along sometimes.

It doesnt rly apply to me anymore, but i do agree with the OP. i skipped dungeons all together while leveling, and done them all with a VR10 group. we all regretted that greatly, since even for hardmode achievements there is just 0% challange to it at that level. we just blasted thru all of it in a short time, even doing some hardmodes without even realising it.

    solutions for this would be:
    * to open them up to any VR rank (dont be elitist in pugs saying that you dont like to carry someone, if the job gets done... you can call it a group effort)
    * make dungeons more rewarding, make ppl want to do them while leveling. right now all you get out of it is 1 skillpoint.

@Axer also the reason why some VR1s will be even better than VR10s is because the game is greatly unbalanced.
i have a dual wielding playstyle wich i do not want to switch from. I have theorycrafted, numbercrunched and tested the best possible way to achieve max dps for my playstyle, yet other builds in my guild get over DOUBLE my dps without even sweating.
before you start blaming it on the possibility that i am a newbie, i have aprox15 years of mmo experience, dating back to ultima online&asherons call being my first mmos that i can remember, and pretty much played every other mmo since, and started playing and joining hardcore guilds halfway thru those years. I am currently in full crafted VR10 legendary gear with set bonusses pve based and legendary enchants.
yet other guildies builds with a mix of green/blue/purples... skyrocket above my dps with ease. and yes im talkin about substained singletarget dps on a tank&spank boss fight.

why is this a problem you ask? all dungeons are *** easy anyway you said? ... correct, but it still frustrates me greatly that i cannot get numbers that reflect my performance. i feel underpowered. sure you can "play how you want to play" as promissed by zenimax... but chances are ull stumble into the same situation i am in right now. and that feeling will only get worse when you pvp, as there will always be cookie cutter players more out there, than there will be ppl like me wanting to stick with their personal taste playstyle.

-its a hard knock life- :)

there are some tweaks and imbalances for certain. and alot of work will need to be put in to get ESO functioning for all play styles right now all you need is heals and ranged DPS for the end game content . no tank nor melee dps is required. avoid puddles kite and move on.

Was more referring to general player skill.

But yea I agree with you on the badness of duel wield (and actaully two handed and probably bow too..) Really all the weapon skills do *** dps. Sword n board too, tho it at least has a very powerful debuff, which aids class skills/other party members.

Tried to use LFG tool? I see many as myself above VR 3- use it, spot VR1,drop group and re-try. You want EVERYONE to suffer because you too lazy to reach ´end´

I was replying to topic, and the stupidty of this suggestion, otherwise i would quote the player. LFG is a tool no reason to make it worse cause of lazyness from a few players

mhh not sure i want to engage in a constructive conversation with a person that directly calls others "stupid" and "lazy", without giving any actual arguments for or against a proposition.

U are entitled to your own opinion, but u might wanna tune down your wording.

let me make it simple. I´m getting sick of people on this forums, that does nothing constructive, such as yourself. Asking for scaling in VR, asking to make it possible for you people to get into LFG tool, I´m VR 6, I am sick of getting VR 1´s in greenish gear, with a dps lower then mine as tank,

If you wish to complain the one and only problem here is exp gain, Not VR dungs requirements or level. I do enjoy the ´challenge´ dungs compared to other games, since TSW first game that put even slight work into the boss fights.
Therefore you speaking agienst it along with many others people who sole reason is they are lazy, or wanted to be carried. It will be changed.

You want WoW, a baby friendly game due to forum cries, its turned into a mass of no skill content.

So yes i feel entitled to call people not thinkin before posting stupid, since you will help in a unneeded nerf in a area, without a help to real problem, The EXP system.

Yes i do feel entited to calling people lazy, as that´s the real problem for most, If you wish to level up, there are BC grind groups, there are World boss farming, there are main story and dolmen. there are plenty of ways that won´t require more then doing max of 50-100 quests. But you simply overlook them because they are not fun or ´easy´.

If you fail to see my logic, in real life you have to work to earn, when you earned you can spend it to have fun. same here, you work your way up, earn your levels, and can spend your time in dungs and other content.

i know i´m walking very close to the line, but people who are lazy or refuse to think, simply annoy me greatly.

Maybe i than feel "entitled" to either question your reading capabilities or u got the total wrong impression about what i actually want.

So let me make it absolutely clear to u, so we can hopefully end this rather unproductive "discussion".

    1) I hate WoW now, i cant stand it anymore.
    2) I played through all the first 3 VR dungeons at a weekend, leaving me still at VR1.
    3) I "tried" to grind those 3 VR dungeons, but it did still left me only at VR2, while it got extremely boring.

I simply don't see the point to gate the next 3-6 dungeons based on your VR rank, since as someone else noticed if they are hard/easy depends entirely on the group composition, players involved.

I also noted that sure u don't want to play with "crappy" VR1-5 in your VR6/10 dungeon run, so add a option to disallow the party finder to add those lower VR's looking for a challenge.

U seem to get of my "scaling" suggestion, which was just a afterthought and they should probably not scale it down at all for lower VR groups trying those higher VR's.

My point is the first 3 VR dungeons are boring and easy to me and i simply would like to "try" the next batch, without the VR xp grind. ESO is also the first game, where after the main "PvE" xp grind crap, i can only access 3 dungeons, which have little re-playability anyway.

So yes keep VR HARD as hell, but let me choose if i want to at least try and get my ass-handed to me, don't force the VR grind on me so i reach the "suggest" VR level for the dungeon batch.

PS: Also removed the "scaling" idea from the main post, so its more clear what i suggest.

That is exactly where most of the players are wrong. To me it seems that TESO in its current form is not the usual hit the lvl cap and then start doing raids/dungeons type of game.

The end game here is questing as well....and almost only questing. You can also try pvping.

The reason why vet ranks take a hwile to lvl is to buy some time for the devs to come up with new content.

Since all the TES games were about questing you should not really be surprised by this. It is quests and then some more areas and more quests. TBH you can still lvl vet ranks if you go questing. The idea is to reach vet rank 10 by the time you finish the quests in all the areas. It might be slow but that is how it is now and there are a lot of players who enjoy this (including me).

On the other hand you are absolutely right taht there should be some other ways to lvl your toons. Should that be PvP or dungeons, that doesnt matter.

At the moment these veteran dungeons are not divided properly imo. Group finder should also need some improvement.

Hopefully, with Craglorn it will change a bit but since it is designed for mainly vet 10-12 I dont really think that it will introduce a new way of lvling. I would also prefer the dungeon way. The more, the merrier. They should be huge just like in Vanguard (if any of you played Vanguard then you know what im talking about).

There are issues with dungeon xp atm. Hopefully, that will change as well. We will see.

I believe Craglorn is available starting at VR1. Doesn't clearing it allow you access to the Trials?

Edit: Also, I thought the announcement yesterday stated we are going to start being rewarded for running dungeons more than once. Hopefully that means XP.
