Lack of respect from ESO

I feel that ESO don't respect the ppl playing.
we have invested in a game, with the promise of having 30 days game time included.
well the game has been as much offline as it has been online. when i asked ESO if the downtime would be compensated the answer was. NO!!! the answer was like this...
Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online Team.

Unfortunately, at the moment we do not provide any compensation for server outages. Should this change in the future, we will inform everyone affected by such a decision.
We understand that experiencing downtime while trying to play the game may be frustrating, especially for players that have difficulties fitting some game time into their already busy schedule. However, server maintenance procedures are a very important aspect in achieving our goal of ensuring good server and game performance.
We want to thank you for your interest, and for the great enthusiasm you have shown about the game. We really appreciate any insights and suggestions you can share with us, as it is very helpful in our quest of making the game the best possible experience for everyone.
Tamriel's safety depends upon you adventurers! See you in the game!

Warm Regards,
The Elder Scrolls Online Team

so i have cancelled my subscription.
can't see that it is worth the money

Exaggerating much? Saying that the game has been offline half of the time since 30th march is false and you know that aswell.
The downtime probably racks up to 2 maybe 3 full days. Nothing surprising seeing as this is after all the first month of the release.
You can expect more maintenance happening unexpectedly before it gets more smooth with scheduled maintenance only.

MMO´s have downtimes, wow just has an 8 hour maintenance and you cant play any other Blizzard game either.

That's what you pay as a customer for playing on public servers. Sure we could all go back to the 90´s and host games ourself´s, but this wont allow us to play with thousands of others across the world.

but for me it seams like ESO don't deliver. why should i pay for a service that is down?

Lol welcome to the world of mmos. Also the only way the game gets fixed is when its taken down for patching, I really hope you dont complain about the bugs they try to fix during down time.

That's the great thing about the Capitalist system, you get to CHOOSE whether or not to pay for so many things .. you're even aloud to make silly decisions. ;)

    Bye.

    VERY, VERY rarely!

If I look back at the account history for the one I started in 2005 I see .. 5 days over 9 years of 'free' time. Given the massive outages that game had in only recent months after 5.4 (or whatever patch it was) let alone on the release of BC, LK, Cata and Pandaria, Blizzard is no better than anyone else by and large.

you know what no MMO has ever done? Randomize maintenance timings. "Scheduled maintenance has been randomized on Wednesday this week. And Randomized at 4pm"

That way no one can ever speak ill of their decision to fix a certain maintenance timing

Zartul. Please stop whining will you. So you don't like the downtime, what, you think anyone does? Hint, go do something else for a few hours, or go and get on with the rest of your day and come back this afternoon or whatever. Oh, and 2 hours out of 24 is NOT half the time of a 30 day sub, so do yourself and everyone else a favour and go retake your Maths GCSEs. One more thing, if you GOT to go, fine, no one is stopping you, and frankly, with YOUR attitude, why would anyone care?

I always wanted to think people were just bored and trolling when they're talking about getting reimbursed by the downtime cos who would care about few cents really. But I'm beginning to think that this is not the case. And I don't know whether to LOL or to hit my head in the wall.

And comparing an MMO game as a service to another, totally different, type of service is just..

I bet you didn't actually read the User Agreement you sign and click accept to when you put in your payment information. No one reads it!

But goodbye! Wait a month for Wildstar and go complain about that game.
