addons
I was looking at the list of addons out of simple curiosity and it hit me, did I rip van winkle and wake to an age where mmo's play themselves? When did players become so lazy that they need all these addons? most don't enhance the game at all, they're just tools for people who seem to be too lazy to manage them themselves. I begin to see why it's not only gold seller bots automating their mules, but players as well. I thought that during all the hype around this game that it was all about exploration, discovery, planning your characters etc etc, yet the 1st 3 addons I see are a treasure map guide, a res node map and skyshard map.
Now where in the hell is the adventuring part or the discovery part in all that nonsense, and worse, zenimax signed off on these? This is not the game I was told about during all those quaint dev chats and discussions. I saw MAYBE 4-5 useful addons that actually added something lacking in the game or simply a more streamlined program, or more polished version of what's there. To those addon writers, I salute you, no harm I wanting to see a cleaner ui or other useful enhancements.
No doubt the flame war will begin after I post this but I don't actually care. If you disagree with my opinion, that's your choice, but this is proving NOT to be the game I signed up for and just to irritate people who think as I do, I get annoyed at people posting spoilers in open chat rather than using their brains and being a bit more discreet and courteous to people who don't want spoilers, by whispering the answers to the questioner.
I won't even start with all the rudeness and trolling in zone chats in every area and as people have often uttered, welcome to the new internet. The new outlet for rage monsters, insensitive trolls making fun of other people's issues or problems, perverts who think talking T&A makes them more mature or puff their chests like that makes them something special. It doesn't, just lowers the IQ in a zone to sub-par, Neandertholic numbers and other than a few co-conspirators, most people have no interest in hearing it. I got super frustrated by the fact that zenimax didn't even put in an auto-stacking ability when making multiple versions of items for their craft buddies to deconstruct. It creates a huge mess and ridiculous amounts of micro managing your limited inventory into a login/logout dance that lasts an hr or more. You make 70 bows and run out of room in your pack, your bank is already full, your mules are full and you're trying to transfer all that crap to your craft buddy small bits at a time. That's the only feature I'd see added to the game by the devs, not the addon community. Rant over, getting a migraine just writing this. At this point, I'm seriously debating putting an end to my mmo career which has been a very, very long one and stick with single player games as mmo's simply aren't worth playing anymore.

Syntse✭✭✭✭✭Addons I have
- Combat log statistics (see damage given and taken)
- XPView (bit better to see how much xp to level and how much you are gaining)
- Easy Quick Slots (well you know the in game system)
- HarvestNodes (shows on map only after you have already picked it up)
- Craft Research Timer (well nice to see when research is ready w/o going to the crafting station, also helps to see what items you can sell/deconstruct)

Probably if the game was more friendly instead of an OCD battle against the inventory, research times, the efficient use of resources/gold, etc.; the addons that optimize time and make the game easier, would not be necessary.0 -

✭Well at first i used google to find all the information of where each lorebook and each skyshard... were. But i totally thank the mod community for making it much faster and easier by marking it ingame on my map.
I also got TONS of other addons to help me with all kind of things , i love them all and totally thank the mod community for their hard and awesome work.
Also OP , the chats in any MMO i ever played were always pretty bad , it is a normal thing to turn it off if you care about spoilers , people flaming ..."Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."
