Confused With Armor Crafting Colours

So I went out and brought myself the Bosmer (Wood Elf) Motif purely for the nice green and gold trim effect that it shows on the crafting menu but when I put it on I was disappointed to find it looked dull n grey as you can see in to screen, one of my guild mates said that his Bosmer armor was green when he improved the quality of the item so I tried this but still no change maybe someone can tell me why this is? bugged maybe or is there an explanation behind it? Im a Breton Templar if that makes any difference!

I believe that it involves the level of the item and the level of quality it is improved to.

For example, I recently put together a set of V3 Heavy Armor and was able to get every piece up to Blue level of quality. The blue level of quality gave the armor gold accents. They weren't there on the green quality level. At the same time, I had a V2 Heavy Curiass that was blue quality that did not have any gold accents.

Imagine how disappointed you'll be once you start crafting Veteran stuffs, all light shade of gray, no upgrade different [mines are all blue too, still same plane light gray colors]... -sad-

Also you might wanna make the thread in Crafting Discussion for better replies and more attention to this topic... 'cause yeah, I feel your pain too, Community Creation > Art is kinda dead most of the time...
