I can infer from your interpretation that you don't care if the mount is a horse or a motorbike.Sigh.... Bears, soon it'll be tigers, then lizards, then flying dragons .... slippery slope coming.
Don't get what the fascination is with different mounts, you go from A to B, that's all their good for.

Sadly for you, all those mmorpgs I mentioned, added tons of mounts because people buy them and -in some cases- to add new content to their game. It is perfectly possible that TESO developers have the same thoughts.
And btw, I love these kind of arguments. Next time you click the mouse buttons and watching pixels in the screen, remember: you are playing a game.
Yes I know what you mean.
I remember my pinky mount collection in RoM, pegasus, unicorns, witchbrooms, lions, flying disks, boars, reindeers, whatever; SWTOR all kind of speeders and creatures, RiFT the same pinky mount madness; WoW, well...
Even Tibia introduced a list of tamed creatures too (after several years and requires subscription). Lotro has only horses (except for a hobby horse lol) the community there wont condone anything else.
The mmorpg list and mount diversity is extense, most as consequence of the F2P model and cash shops.
Anyways, I know this is a long shot, probably a dev joke. But when it comes to "new" ideas everything it's possible. After people getting used to horses, clanfears, monkeys, mudcrabs, etc running around the cities (I have nothing against pets) some dev could think, then why not bears, dwemer constructs, Arvak type mounts, etc.
As I said, I'm fine with horses only.
I forgot it completelyYes I know what you mean.

NO STUPID NON LORE FRIENDLY MOUNTS!
Pink bunny -- NO!
Bear mounts -- NO!
I am happy with horse only... As long the mounts follow lore and have good logic behind -- other race mounts is a "May Be" I am will be just as happy with no other mounts besides horses.
Im not ES expert but im not sure if its not you who is more selfish, possbily trying to brake lore for millions of ES fans.NO STUPID NON LORE FRIENDLY MOUNTS!

Why does it have abide all 2165 lore books... oh wait, you read them all? Good for you.
It's not like a pink dragon... It will look awesome. Just because YOU are happy with just horses, doesn't mean the rest of us are.
I personally think that a bear is not breaking immersion as it could still be considered a mount. It could be a PvP or a Raiding reward... something that is gonna be rare. To give it value.
So please, stop being selfish. Think about the community as a whole. For me personally, I think horses should not be the only mounts. I like the idea of diversity to a certain scale that it doesn't break immersion.

The company shapes the lore, not the fans.
So if bethesda said ok , almost anything is possible.
Like we had vampires that take 0 day-light damage or we could ride dragons in skyrim. The simple fact is , they can say something can happen and give us the reason.
If the company did it , it is the lore from that point on.

And can you imagine the screaming from vamp players on Cyrodiil PvP? As it is, at least there's a rotating day/night cycle that ensures a few hours on various days are 'nighttime' during prime playing hours for different time zones. You cannot realistically expect vampires to not play or stay indoors during daylight hours

As this is generated lore and not actual lore, then to some degree you are correct. However, expect a backlash from fans if Bethesda or Zeni begin adding things to the game out of the blue.
They created the lore but they have to stick to their original set of rules, and not make any contradictions, otherwise the lore simply fails to hold up. Bethesda pride themselves on their lore.
The vampire thing is just a mechanic as it would be unplayable for vamps to level in daylight, and there's a lot of it. You cannot realistically expect vampires to not play or stay indoors during daylight hours. In a single player game you could just fast forward time.
That said they could have introduced vampires at a later date with their own stories, area's etc... made is so they cannot enter into towns at stage four otherwise they are attacked on site by the guards, made it so they can be attacked by any player anywhere at stage four, and generally made them more closer to the vampires of the original games.
What they have now is a cop-out IMO.
