*Possible Spoiler* Motes in the Moonlight

Hey guys, this is out of curiosity... I'm not sure if it has any impact on the main story line, but any suggestions or answers would be of great help!

The priestess who conducted the ritual for Khali and Shazah mentioned something about a clerical order that was protecting an artifact that can aid me in the last trial for the candidates. Does it really exist? And if so, will it affect the outcome of the storyline if I was to retrieve it first?

I was wondering this as well when heading to moonmont to do this quest, so I went out of my way and surely I ran into a quest at a monastry where I would help the people there save their precious monastry and the artifact that Shazah mentioned. But after completing this quest the selfish little monk-cat-person that I just helped simply took the artifact from me and gave me some silly piece of armor in return. Slightly disappointed I moved on to kick the mane's ass once more and quickly forgot about this artifact that she had told me about, until you posted this thread. Wheter it simply bugged out for me and I should have gotten some extra dialogue relating this artifact after completing the monastry quest or if it was something the devs forgot about I do not know, but I suggest you go ahead and do this quest anyway before you head to moonmont, you might as well. As far as I can remember the quest was somewhere on the west/south-west part of reaper's march, north of moonmont.
