Quests level

Hi Guys,
I have reached level 9 and a half. I am still having huge problems, well in fact I died and failed to accomplish 2 quests that are supposed to be level 8. Am I missing something ?
Can someone shed light on these quests level.

    Level 8-14 or so tend to be a little hard. Gets easier after that.

    Could we have a little more insight?:)

    Which quests were you having trouble with?

    If you don't know the name, just describe what their asking you to do or which faction.

    There have been several instances where I've had to outlevel a quest by one or two levels to get by without dying.

    Make sure you have level 8 armors as well as weapons at level 8 minimum too. Try using a food to help you with either magicka stamina or health, whichever you think might help you get through it.

    Look forward to seeing if I or others can help:) Probably not me, I am a bit daft and rubbery between the ears.

    The first 10 levels really suck hard, or do they blow hard, I can never remember. Either way, the first 10 levels are just plain terrible. You don't have many skill points, so you don't have much power, you don't have any gear, you don't have any money, you don't have any potions, and you can't really craft anything yet.

    All you can do is pick your battles wisely. Try to avoid taking on more than one mob at a time unless there are other people around. On that note, try to hang around other people. ESO has a very cooperative PVE play style. Everyone gets a chance at loot from any mob they have an hand in putting down, so it's in everyone's best interest to work together. So if you find yourself face to face with a very difficult mob, look over your skills and think about upcoming choices and before long someone will come along who wants that mob just as dead as you do.

    Alternatively you can type /zone in the chat window and then say something like, "Level 8 Templar looking for someone to quest with." At any given time there's probably a couple dozen people in the same boat as you, and there's definitely strength in numbers in ESO.

    Hi Thanks for your answers. One is Tanzevil where I must kill Norion (impossible). The other one is Sheogorath Sanctuary. I can cross the portal but then I get killed by the creatures.

    the mage's guild quests are a lot easier when you get silver bolts from the fighter's guild skill tree since it will knock down daedra for 3 seconds each time you hit them, with a 5% chance of doing devastating damage to them which usually 1-shots them.

    Nasuradin, where can I find the fighter's guild skill tree.
    I am really wondering if my player is well equipped as I am not able to succeed in quests. The last one is to free spirits with the gem when they are weak. I get killed one time out of two. And it costs me just before I quit this afternoon almost 400 gp to have it repaired.
    and the limit to 5 quick access buttons is a nightmare as I cannot use melee or magic at the same time.

    You can use magic & melee at the same time...

    hints:
    1: Don't stand in red stuff, if part of the ground turns red, roll dodge out of it.
    2: white flashes around a mob= block
    3: red flashes around a mob= try to interrupt if you're in melee, but not everything can be interrupted, so learn what can/can't be
    4: Use skills/armor/weapons that go well together. i.e. if you want to use a ranged weapon (bow/staff), pick class abilities that are also ranged and/or provide stuns/knockback/snare/immobilize to keep mobs at range. If you are using a weapon that is melee, pick class abilities that are also melee.
    5: Try not to be redundant, i.e. don't pick two charge abilities. Also, remember you have two resources (stam & magicka)...don't ignore one of them. You don't need to use the both equally, but for example: if you are using mostly magicka abilities, look for a stam one that you can use as a "oh crap" button, that way it should always be available.
    6: If most of your damage comes from class abilities, staff abilities (or staff light/heavy attacks), mage skill line, soul magic, or vampire line: pick magicka/enchant magicka to increase their damage. If your damage comes from weapon skills, weapon light/heavy attacks other than staffs, fighters guild line, werewolf line: pick stam/enchant stam to increase their damage.
    7: pick armor that goes with your abilties. Light armor helps magicka & at high lvls provides +spell crit. Medium armor helps stamina & at high lvls increases attack speed. Heavy armor helps health & at high lvls helps blocking. Mix and match as you like, but to get the big bonus, you'll need to be wearing 5 pieces of that type.
    8: at low lvls, crafting is easy/cheap & takes no skill points...craft armor/weapons for yourself. If you're lvl 9, none of your gear should be lower than lvl 6, if you can afford it, take a trip to the enchanter and buy enchants for the gear as well. At high lvls, it takes more quests/kills to lvl, so you tend to find more gear, but at low lvls you're kinda lucky to find even 1 or 2 upgrades.

    That's a great post and it helps a lot.
    I will go and see the URL you provide but now in Paris on a Sunday night, it is time to go to bed.
    I am playing a Templar Khajiit. I have a two hands mass enchanted and the queen armor. I have today change my quick buttons to melee instead of magic, my melee two first buttons are puncturing strikes and piercing javelin. Heal is the third as I want to keep heal in my 5 buttons. The others are competencies I discovered this afternoon in my competencies tree which gives me more melee power and run and strike power (sorry I do not have the exact names). My R button is for radial sweep.
    I try to enchant some of my weapons / armor. I succeed for the mass but nothing else. I have some glyph and a rune that I cannot decipher yet.
    I am broke as I try to buy a single hand weapon and a shield from merchants, but not as efficient as my mass and armor. and selling 20 GP something you buy 200 does not make you a rich guy
    Some other hints now that you know my character better would be very helpful. I really feel weak facing some opponents and I do not want to wander around and around killing just to gain some XP points.

    Skills, should be fine if so...so I think, items are the issue.

    Don't buy armor/weapons from vendors. They are stupidly overpriced...like, way way way too expensive. Craft things at low lvls, and at high lvls craft or use quest/drops...never buy equipment from vendors. Well...except enchanting glyphs, I hate the enchanting craft in this game (some people like it, I just hate how slowly it levels), so I tend to buy enchanting glyphs.

    To craft, you run around for a little while picking up iron ore/maple/jute/rawhide. Go to crafting station, refine the stuff you picked up into materials. Play around with the buttons/tabs & read the in game tutorial windows that pop-up. At most, you'll have to buy a moonstone for...18g I think?(unless you already have one from looting random barrels/crates/etc in town).

    Magicka will increase the damage/heal from anything in your three class skill lines (Aedric spear= melee abilities, Dawn's wrath=mostly ranged abilities, or restoring light=heals). Stamina would increase the damage from your weapon/competency trees (i.e. the 2 hander, or sword and shield tree.) Look over the skills in the trees, and see which path you like better. Currently you are using more of the class abilities, so magicka would be your main focus (that will also increase the power of your heal as well), so using some light armor & picking up some passives from the light armor tree would help you.

    If you want to go more tanky (with the one hander and shield), then some combination of heavy armor (with some heavy armor passives) would work for you.

    If you want to use skills in both class & the weapon/competency trees, then you can balance magicka & stamina & use a mix of light/medium armor.

    Many thanks. The link you provide is exactly my character. I would like to keep a balance between tank and magic. Would you recommend I try to craft a one handed weapon and a shield. I guess this will take me time (but if success is at that price..).
    I am a little bit confused about armor. Today I have a heavy armor (queen armor) and it seems not to penalize me. Should I go to a medium. What will I gain then ?
    Would you recommend that I change back mt 4 and 5 buttons for magical spells ?
    Thanks a lot again, and I will definitively try to craft as soon as I have the raw materials you described.
