Does anyone play on both servers and if so, do you run into any problems tech wise?

I am thinking of adding the eu folders etc so I can have those eight others characters to play with. Anyone here use both servers?
Do you have to go through a lot of trouble to play between the two? (I know how to copy the folders etc but want to know if you have to go through a bunch of steps after you have initially set up your pc to be able to play both.)
