[Suggestion] Public Store Fronts at Keeps in Cyrodiil

I'll keep this short and simple.

Currently:
Keeps in Cyrodiil can be used to access guild stores,
but you must be a member of that guild to use that store.

Proposal:
Allow players to access ANY guild store in their own Alliance,
purchase what they want, but not place items for sale.

Pro's of this update:
  • Guilds have a reason to claim keeps; right now they lack legitimate value
  • Encourage players to participate in PvP to support their Alliance
  • Guilds will have a sense of ownership and pride when defending "their keep"
  • The economy will ramp up dramatically and function more effectively
  • Guilds will begin working together to sell products to outsiders, rather than competing with each other for profit, ultimately encouraging a sense of unity

Con's of this update:
  • Zenimax will need to use resources to create this update
  • Guilds may capture a keep to "sell" to another guild in another Alliance, or pay another guild to capture it to switch ownership.
  • Players who do not wish to participate in PvP will need to go to Cyrodiil to use public store fronts
  • Duplication glitches may have a larger impact on the overall economy

Any thoughts? More stuff to add to the lists? Post your thoughts and ideas.
Respect others' thoughts and ideas as well.

EDITS:
Basic edits to phrasing
Added negative impact of dupes to economy

This would be enormously useful. More than Zone which is what we are all limited to using atm.

I saw a huge economic issue coming back in the PTS. Something like this would greatly influence more players' drive to pvp and work together as well. Instead of fighting over keeps within your own alliance. Which is silly and unnatural for a virtual economy's development.

I like the idea, but I would like to see more - more advanced features. This is a good starting point, but perhaps a patch made simply for the purpose of improving the economy would be a great idea.

If they want to make the experience more personal, or social, then they need to find a medium; and I don't think that's through guild stores alone.

I've just become so sick of the lack of player economy in this game.
My guild shouldn't be competing with itself,
it should be trying to compete against other guilds!

There's no way to do that without using Keeps in Cyrodiil.
If we can't use them as public store fronts, why should we even bother claiming keeps?
Why would I travel out to a keep to purchase from my own guild store?
    It doesn't make sense.

I am pretty sure they were supposed to be public at once point. What was all the talk about being a trader and traveling between keeps looking for the best deals?

afaik cyrodiil shops are just bugged - is that not so? they are obviously completely obsolete as they are now.

I KNOW I read that claiming a keep allowed your Guild Store to be available to the public. If not, then what's the point? It makes no sense as a feature otherwise.

I thought that too @Cures, but it's been 3 weeks with no updates on its progress.
Either Zenimax doesn't know its broken, or it was dropped somewhere along the way. Maybe there's some sort of bug that they can't figure out?

When i read that you would be able to access the guild store from the keeps that's kind of how I imagined it to work :/

I had always assumed they were open to the public at the keeps. I never tried anyone else's as I'm a hoarder by nature.

I agree with Terminus that getting this feature open to all players in an alliance is important for guild teamwork and building interest in Cyrodiil.

It's completely ridiculous that this isn't already implemented this far into the game. I second everything the OP said.

Even Zenimax simply saying "We have this planned for patch xxx" would be better than the silent treatment we're currently getting.
