Bot Hammer wielding GM's

  • gimmethecreepsb14_ESO
The trick is to report as many as possible in one zone! I reported 8-9 and Gamemaster Karesh (sp) came down and destroyed all of them. He even stood around for a while to try to clean up the ones that log on and off. So literally, report ALL OF THEM we need to get them off our server, sick of it...

Yes, it finally starts to look at least a little "cleaner" in dungeons - so please take the time to report.
Particularly higher level bots that slipped through the lower zones are very satisfying targets...
...and btw, there should be an achievement for reporting enough of them! >:)

Well these Bot-Hammers were encouraging for a moment but it seems the relief was only in the downtime of the programmers having to change the bots. I'm still seeing the bots out, and some areas still packed with them. I'd have to say the biggest disappointment was seeing a bunch of veteran level bots. The biggest concentration I've seen is in Coldharbour which has been there for over a week now. If they are actively banning - How are these bots getting to VT3+?

It is a major issue for all players who are not botters.

    hmmmm ? very suspicious post.

Teams of chained bots slaughtering mobs is a wreckage, a total destruction of the game. Players will leave en masse in a few months if it is not cleaned up.

I've been seeing bot trains in my late night adventuring out in the open world. It's difficult to run around with them and get all the names to report them all, but I take the time to do it.

Why? Because I detest them. I hate them as much as I hate people who play vampires as anything other than bloodsucking monsters that are evil to the core or werewolves as anything other than savage beasts who have no intelligence or reasoning beyond the savage beast out for its next meal.
I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

Sadly we only see a handful of them above ground... there are hoards of them underground (under the map) and now flying ones... The Bots are out and swarming... Screw Molag'bal... Bots are taking over Tameil not the Daedric Prince of Schemes

If they are moving outside of areas you can walk that is actual good news, set up tripvires who logs everyone who pass areas you can not normally go, say you pass wire twice and you account is banned automatically and the one who receive significant stacks from them.
And yes unless ZOS is idiots they have logs of any transactions between players so then they have the profile they can roll it up from log.

Same for level 3 in coldharbor, autoban any level 3 in starting rag and the one who summon them where.

You set up hidden bot rules, first is flagging by trigger, second is an automatic log analyze who find if this might be an weird player, as chance of weird player is very low account is suspended and flagged for deleting, this again depend on analyze an obvious gold farmer created account is deleted an hijacked account is not just suspended until player contact support.

This is not much diferent from spam filters however you track behavior like doing the same as known bots or doing the same for 24 hours without break, moving underground rater than using viagra in mail.
And yes the ip address / mac address goes into the database so any new accounts is automatically flagged, to many and it goes into the firewall.

However for some entertainment they might conciser making the bots player killable, think the yellow npc and mosters.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Plenty of bots at the Rift a few hours ago. Four random letters names running short circuits along spawning nodes. Skeletons spawned, a few secs laters there comes the train. Reported some, asked at the zone chat if a GM was around. One train changed characters shortly after that. Guess the puppeteer was around.

I fear these guys have more domain of the game engine than we guess.

Anyway, would love to see a GM turning them in to killable and lootable characters. Bot bounty hunter could be a very profitable craft...

Made several suggestions along these lines as well. I don't even care if they are lootable. I just want them huntable. The dungeon ones I suggested they get strung up outside the dungeon they were banned from, we could whack them like a pinata and get a debuff called Blood of the Banned, doesn't do anything except sounds cool.

Another trick up the bots sleeves, some kind of fake latency so they continuously jump/warp making them harder to target. There have been so many out there in almost every area I'm discouraged from sitting there reporting them. I would also like to know how much information is needed in a report - can I simply report "bot" and they look into it or is that insufficient info?

One thing that's definitely needed is banning of the gold buyers, I haven't seen any official stand from ZOS about that - obviously the actions are covered in the TOS agreement but the question still remains of whether or not ZOS is enforcing it. Second is getting more GM's out there, I think it would be a good idea to give some players GM rights but obviously with that would come harsh consequences for abusing it.

I have a hard time targeting them. Some bots have taken to stringing together phrases for names. Such as We will---get them--Banned. Or something like that. Shadowfen is full of them. Its discouraging seeing them kill everything in the area. Like a swarm of locusts.

I was killing bots for 3 hours yesterday... I just trained archers to them and healed when all 4 standing around the jute died... The problem is they had rez setup and even after 40 or so deaths one still had stones to rez... I got board and left would have been nice if more agro mobs where around to pull to them.

To Zos and any Gm's reading this. I have reported countless bots yet I don't feel like my efforts are really helping. Please do something about them. I am looking forward to the new expansion of craglorn, however, I fear that all the fun and joy that could be had there will be wasted as it is now a new bot farming zone.

I just entered Ravenspire on one of my characters the other day and saw several bots at the first farm there. I thought I had a nifty way of getting one of the bots who seemed to have poor AI killed. I would wait until it engaged 2 or more mobs then use a knockback on the one it was fighting. The stupid bot AI would just flail around trying to still attack the one I knocked back while the other two mobs beat on it. The bot was almost dead when 3 other bots came swarming in with one healing and the others killing the mobs on the bot. I got teh sads that my efforts to get the little *** killed didn't work so left to finish my quest. :( I reported them but getting the bot killed would have been much more satisfying. >:)

Well, great news is that the banned accounts will be actively removed from our ignored list.

Other than that I've spent another couple hours reporting bots in Bangkorai until I couldn't report players any more - now they're in my ignore list and I'm waiting to see if and or when they disappear from my list.

Look its easy. Dont ban the bots. Instead flag their accounts for pvp anywhere and enable us to loot them.

Then let them roam around doing their thing, but no one need ever buy from them (not that anyone should need to ever!) and we can use them as unwilling unsuspecting hirelings.

I've noticed bots will now try and log off when I target them for reporting. I still get their name but no more screen shot... not sure if my screenshots have been doing any good anyway  But hey if it makes them get off for a few minutes and out the way - still good for us.

You need to get Fastreport :)

You sir, are a genius! I could totally just farm bots all day ..... I would have to fit it in between my questing and ... oh yeah ... more questing! lmao
Ganking bots would definitely keep me happy while I wait for the game to make dungeons worth doing again.

This is the best idea I have heard and on top of that make them drop all their loot.

And how do we whisper GMs? I don't want to whisper them all the time but the other night one of them wrote he or she will be doing a bot killing session and we should whisper that character if we see any. I just couldn't whisper, it was a system message so I couldn't right click it, nor did /whisper gamemaster xy work (or just simply the name) as it wanted to add whatever message I wanted to write as the part of the name.
