Finding quests

smitty81rc
Okay I'm level 27 doing level 29 quests. Having a hard time finding quests my level. Went back to dagger fall to see if i have missed anything. I hate grinding and will not. Is this normal? Where should i go to find more quests.

Look for 'blank' areas on your map towards where you started. This is one of the things that bugs me, if you follow the quest path you end up in areas that are too high level so you need to retrace your path.
One should always be in love. That is the reason one should never marry.

You can see buildings or structures on the map, so If you see one that hasn't got any symbol on it, chances are you've missed something.

Try just wandering around and exploring. Maybe do those dark anchors more than once at each dolmen. There is a chance of a named boss coming from them and granting you with some nice loot and an achv for killing them. Also public dungeons will many times have quests within them along with a skyshard so they are worth running through as well. I've also noticed that if you try to avoid combat a lot of the time you might end up under leveled. Instead of sneaking or running past that area full of mobs just make a path of death >:) . I tended to be over leveled for every area I entered. I've completed maybe 3-4 quests in coldharbour and got to v1. Another fun way to get xp is just to go chest hunting. Every time you unlock a chest you receive xp. I ran around coldharbour this morning doing nothing but collecting nodes and chests as it was early in the morning and there were very few people on. If you're having trouble finding chests try doing an instanced dungeon. There will usually be a minimum of around 10 chests hidden as you clear it then more will spawn after you finish the final boss. Same with the heavy sacks. Those heavy sacks can be real nice when you find 2 Rekuta or 2 Kuta runes at once. I hope this gives you some fun options to just "grinding" as i'm not a big fan of doing that either.

Definitely try exploring as others have mentioned.. also chests! Chests net a good amount of experience, so always grab all the ones you see. Also, if you see something like dueling mages, or a random portal open.. or some people being held hostage.. help them out. Those mini-events usually give a good chunk too. I tend to do everything and I've always been 2-3 levels above the quests I'm doing.

Good sources of experience which are easily missed I have found:

Dungeon quests, chests, anchor events, public dungeons (don't get much unless you kill the last boss which may or may not be up for very long), and random events.

Yes, go off the beaten path; explore.
    Baskin Robbins always finds out.
