Where can I find more information on. . .

I have been cruising the forums and the ESO site (Game Guide) to find answers to my questions, but can't seem to get a lot of information.

For instance, professions. . .I know from reading the forums that professions exist, but where is the detailed information, like how I acquire them, where I acquire them, when, what are they good for, etc. . .?

Classes. . .I know there are 4 of them, but I had to go to the forum and look over a bunch of threads to learn that. Where on ESO's Game Guide does it list the classes and their attributes, spells, skills, etc. . .? Where are the class details?

Where is the detailed information about the auction house, bank, profession trainers, class trainers, etc. . .maybe they don't exist?

I guess I was looking for more information in the Game Guide. It seems rather lacking.

Are there some good Fansites that are out there that could help?

In the meantime, I'll keep looking at the forums, "New Player Questions" area for information.

***Oh and another question I just thought of. How do you keep your pet from following you around? I don't want to destroy him, I just want to put him away once and a while.

Thank you.

I'm not sure but I think a lot of that is answered in the game guide in the actual game (the ? icon in the upper right of your interface icons).

That said there's a lot of 'figure it out' too, which I'm ok with.

I'm liking this site for the skill lines, as you can expand what you want to, and even has the morphs for each skill: http://eldersouls.com/elder-scrolls-online/skills

The pet question either put him in the bank for a bit, or don't "use" it when its in your inventory. I believe if you click use once he's out he will disappear again.

Since someone already linked something for the skills, I'm gonna try to answer some of the other questions. I may ramble a bit or not make sense.. did find a list of guides here that may cover what you're looking for if you find my post confusing.

There are no class, or profession trainers in the game. As you level you'll get experience in armor/skill/weapon lines based on what you have equipped, or slotted. So while you have a Bow equipped, for example.. you'll get experience for bow skills. Likewise, if you have a skill on your bar for a skill line for your class, that skill line is going to gain experience.

For professions, you just kinda have all of them, but they're all level 1. To level them up you'll need to gather materials, refine them, or deconstruct items in some cases. The type of material will depend on what you're leveling. For blacksmithing you'll need ores, starting with iron, or you'll need to deconstruct metal weapons (swords/axes/maces) or heavy armor. You can refine materials and deconstruct items by using a crafting station in the game. These are usually marked on your map in towns (hover over icons to get a list of things near that icon).

Blacksmithing stations - Swords/Maces/Axes/Daggers/Heavy Armor (Iron Ore starting material)
Woodworking station - Destruction Staff/Resto Staff/Bow/Shield (Maple logs starting material)
Clothing Station - Light/Medium Armor (Raw Jute/Raw Hide starting material)
Provisioning (Usually Campfires) - Makes food/drink that boosts stats (Various materials found in crates/barrels/sacks/other lootable things in world)
Enchanting - Makes Glyphs (Various runes starting materials)
Alchemy - Potions, both healing and very temporary boosts to stats (Various plants starting materials)

It's worth noting that Provisioning and Alchemy don't have any sort of "break down" or "deconstruct" option. They also don't have anything that requires refining. Enchanting doesn't have anything to refine, but you can break down glyphs.
