Sorcerer Class Spells Are From Which School Of Magic?

Reading the tool tip it says either 'Magic' or 'Shock' so not sure what that means? Is my confusion due to a mix up between 'magic' and 'elemental' or are they one in the same?

You can play it anyway you want it. Fire, ice, electric, curses, summons etc.

So Sorcerer class abilities type (fire, ice, electric) is based on the weapon I have equipped?

The whole storm tree is from the destruction shock branch. (where the skills here are shock elemental magic damage)
Dark magic tree seems to be based on Conjuration (so any damage these skills give is magic based purely and no elemental bases to it)

Now destruction staff skill tree is what abilities that are based on the kind of staff you have. Wall of elements changes to a fire wall if you have a fire staff, where an Ice staff makes it an ice wall for instance. So all the effects of the destruction staff skill tree changed depending on the element of the staff you have equipped. (and this only applies to destruction. A restoration staff will not do anything. Wont even be able to use the abilities. )

Ok thanks, so racial that increases fire damage will only benefit Fire Destruction staff and class abilities that specify fire such as Templar and DK. So, Dark Elf Fire damage boost will not add anything to any Sorcerer class abilities?
