Mage's guild, Eyevea buff *SLIGHT SPOILER*

This issue is about the mages guild questline, which ended in the decision to send the girl with the mad prince Sheogorath in Eyevea. I decided to send the girl with him, so I received the tome that gave 2 skill points, PLUS an awesome buff in the game. The buff was 5% spell damage and 5% armor if I remember correctly. So the question stands, how does one REGAIN the buff that I accidentally overwrote with another trophy-buff? I visited Eyevea where I first got it, and no NPC seems to do anything for me. The game is so fresh, there is no information about it on the internet either.

Just out of curiousity, as I opted for the other choice.. did Shali give you the thing that allows you to re-read every book (not just lore books) you come across? I didn't get any skill points, just a blue staff. Wondering if the memory deal for books is tied to the choice as well, or if it's separate.

@Lalai‌ Eidetic Memory is a reward for completing the Mages Guild questline regardless of which choice you make in the end. Sorry to tell you, the weapon was your reward.

@ameces‌ Check your journal. Hit 'J' and select the bookstack icon in the top right of the menu. Then select 'Eidetic Memory' instead of 'Shalidor's Library' in the lefthand column. Shalidor's is the collection of purple lorebooks used to level the Mages Guild skill line. Eidetic is the collection of all other books/notes in the game. However, it is not working correctly at the moment and will not unlock all found books.

As for your original question, quest related buffs like the one you describe are typically one time only bonuses. They're minor and only last for maybe 30 minutes to an hour. You likely can never get that buff again. I don't recall that specific buff as I was too frazzled by Eidetic Memory not working.
