Nightblade - Dual wield - Weapon of choice

This could probably extend to other classes as well since it is mainly a question about weapon stats.

I am using daggers for my DW and I wanted to see if my assumptions were correct. Daggers being a lighter/faster weapon than say a one-hand sword, do they
- Consume less stamina per attack than heavier weapons?
- Provide a higher rate of attacks than heavier weapons?

I'm pretty sure their damage arc is much closer than heavier weapons.

All 1h weapons have the same speed/damage. The only difference is within a passive skill in the dual wield line. It gives different bonuses based on the weapon type, like daggers having more crit, axes having bleed, etc.
