SweetFX

thehobgoblinb16_ESO
Hi,
Ive been using a program called Sweetfx and Radeon pro (http://tamrielfoundry.com/topic/sweetfx-elder-scrolls-online-improved-graphics-mod/)
It really enhances the graphics of the game. But it doesn't seem to work after the last update:(
Does anyone here use it or know how to get it working again?

Thanks :)

The graphics are fine as is, why even bother....

I just use the Digital Vibrance slider on my Nvidia control panel...give me the same effect without all the hassle.

    I use LumaSharpen only.

The game is a touch too blurred. A mild sharpening actually does wonders for it.

Beyond that, the only SweetFX setting I found useful for ESO personally was a very light vignette to soften the edges and focus one's vision inward in first person. Once they add an FOV slider I'll be using that.

Hmm, been messing with it again, still cant find out why it no longer works. Update must have rendered it unusable now is all I can think of, shame :(

    It still works.

You have to use v 1.4 of SweetFX specifically, and make sure to enable FXAA in RadeonPro settings.

Yep, done all that. Done everything same as before and nothing.
Works on oblivion and skyrim warcraft and lotro tho.
Was fine untill the patch the other day.

Yeeees! Got it working now :smiley:

Hmm came on today to play and...its stopped working again. Its not worth the hassle lol.

Ah I figured out what the problem is now. I had fraps running. I think radeon pro has this built in. If I turn off my installation of fraps it works again

The fraps overlay is what causes the problem, I remember having to turn off fraps to use this for Skyrim.

Yep, some overlays mess with DLL's and post processing. I use no overlays and have had no issues with Sweetfx since installing it weeks ago.

Like it's stated above, ESO looks great as is, but some mild sharpening, bloom and saturation adjustment makes it look even better, all at no noticable performance cost. :)

Yeah IMO the game looks really nice with Setka's (or is it Sekta??lol) Sweetfx settings, loving it!

Been using SweetFX for a week now. Still working.

For those who didn't tried it yet i would like to tell you that you have no idea how bad the current graphic is with the grey overlay until you try SweetFX.
It changes the game COMPLETELY. Now and then i turn it off and on in some locations. I hate the old graphics. HATE IT.

TRUST me, try it, you can thank me later. Here is a simple ''how to'' i made.

Out of curiosity and being a fan of SFX in Skyrim I decided to give this a shot with Sekta's preset and wow...very nice!

In the video it looks to me like it is just punching up the contrast. Not necessarily a bad thing but it is not something I could not live without.

How does this work with Nvidia Cards?

RadeonPro still works without an ATI card.

I get an error when I launch it about a missing library, but it runs fine anyway.

My problem is that it still drops my fps with around 5 which is not that much but often that is all that's needed for a smooth gameplay.

What is the setting that... Well not sure how to put it. by basic it seems like there is a bit of fog everywhere but if you turn it on, everything is a bit darker and no fog. I didn't even notice that fog till I tried sweetfx. I can leave without the program to travel smooth experience but I would just try it with only that one setting (I used a preset. And I'm at work at the moment so cannot test it)
