A proposal for grouping in different phases

So my friend has more time to play then me and when I'm on he likes to help me quest but do to phasing, he can't. He's already done most of what I'm doing and we use the rings of Mara so it's pretty annoying.

My proposal for ZOS is, allow someone to join your phase of a quest by sharing all the quests your on with them, quests that they have completed will not allow them to return to an NPC for completion but will still allow for them to receive exp for killing mobs.

This will allow us to play with our friends in all areas without abusing and exploiting exp in any way.

Would love a response from devs but if anyone likes this idea then feel free to up vote and help it get more attention

Since phasing isn't a new MMO technology I think we have to assume they were well aware of the downsides such as you're highlighting and are content this is how they want the game to play.

I agree, it's hugely counter-productive to building a 'community' but hey, the mega-server concept where you only see a small faction of your fellow levelers is even more so.

Yes to the OP! This game desperately needs some better group questing tools! Being able to phase into old quest instances to help buddies would be a start in the right direction. As it is, even when I am grouped I often feel like I am flying solo for a large chunk of quests that I group for. This is disappointing in an MMO to me.

I just wish these forums had a suggestions and feedback section. Not sure where to put this where it would get the most attention

Yes, the forums badly need a suggestions section. Also, it's kinda sad that "new player questions" has, in practice, become the "general discussion" section because of the absence of said section.
