Seems to take a really long time to level, or do anything

Am I missing something in the way of quests or mobs? It seems to take a really long time to level up or skill up crafting. I can't find any ore, and quests all seem to have me running forever to talk to someone then running all the way across the zone to talk to someone else.

Does it get quicker/better? After playing for hours on end, I'm only level 8, and I'm pretty bored. :(

I happen to enjoy that it takes for what seems like forever. Unlike other particular games I don't feel rushed to reach the level cap and get the best gear. =/

Oh, and look for ore around mountains or hilly areas. Sometimes random protruding rocks will have them nearby.

Make sure you explore before progressing to a different area in a zone. Just because a quest wants you to go from the starter area to th middle of the zone doesn't mean you should head straight there.

Get off the beaten path when you are out and about. This will help you find nodes a lot easier. Also it makes it easier to happen upon quests.

Make sure you check your map often . If you see a big empty area on your map with no icons, chances are there is a point of interest right there.

Also, make sure to kill everything in your path! This is a huge way to make sure you keep a constant speed of leveling! Trust me, once you start killing

As for crafting deconstructing items you find gives alot more exp then actually crafting them if you are leveling some of the standard equipment making craftings. It's a whole different story with the others (Alchemy, enchanting and provisioning). As for questing/leveling it obviously takes time but every location icon that is filled with black means you still have quests there to do. There are a decent amount of "run here talk to that guy then run over there to turn it in" but you get those for the most part if they want you to keep moving on in the area to find more quests.
Think before you act. There are always consequenses to your actions eventhough you may not notice them
