Can't use my ring of Mara from phasing

Anyone know if there is a way around the phasing system? When I try grouping with my friend, he is invisible when we are next to each other. He's a couple levels higher then me and the quests he already completed cause him to be in a different phase so just wondering if anyone knows how to fix that... Without him waiting for me to catch up etc

Go to your Party window (P by default) and travel to him. It'll take you to the wayshrine closest to him, and put you in the same phase. Say, meet in a town that has the rededication shrine in it, travel to him, then both run to the Mara shrine.

Note this should work for general questing in areas neither of you have done yet, as well, though you'll still be phased out from him in quests he's done but you haven't. However, as soon as you finish that quest, if you've done the "travel to player" thing, you should both end up in the same phase.

Keep in mind that some places will phase you apart no matter what you do. Like the island you swim to when you're going to fight Doshia. When my friend and I got separated for that quest and I had to wait for him to finish, I sat on the smaller island watching people disappear as they swam over to it.

Otherwise I just relog if we get separated.
