Ball of Lightning bugged ?

I heard that Ball of Lightning is bugged :
Teleports player forward (creates a huge ball of light which makes it incredibly easy for anyone to track you down and kill you, but that's ok). It does NOT stun or absorb spell projectiles.
Am I correct? Is this bugged?
I would prefer to know before morphing bolt escape. (and do you indeed lose the stun in favour of disorient with BoL?)
