Does Stamina affect Staff damage?

Just curious, I've been going 50/50 Health/Magicka on my Sorc, but does anyone know if Stamina affects staff weapon damage?

Hello, as far as i know, it does. But only for the normal attack (left mousebutton) and the power attack (left mousebutton pressed). Both are counting for normal weapon attacks and therefore using your Stamina and Melee Power stats. All other abilitys you are using with staff sloted are Magicka bound or using the source named in their respective tooltips.

There was a similar question with a different answer. Seeing as the reddit post is a month old, it falls within the "was changed since launch" timing.

If you have an addon that gives you floating damage numbers, you can try and figure it out yourself by eating some stamina food and looking at your average staff attack damage after killing something and then eating some magicka food and trying again.
