What determines who gets to loot a boss mob in an open dungeon?

I'm pretty sure everybody gets their own pile of loot from every mob.

If you did sufficient damage, you get your share of the loot along with everyone else

It takes aprox 10% damage of the boss/any mob's health to get loot. Might be 9% but feels like 10%.

I thought it was more like 20 %... I know I never get any loot if there are 5 or more people attacking... then again I am playing tank with 1H + shield
