Everyone that wants to play solo all the time is absolutely spoiled..

Are you serious or is this a troll post?

World of Warcraft is the worst MMO for Casuals / Solo gamers on the market. Almost every content patch is about Raids. There is nothing for someone who doesn't want to be in a guild or commit to a raiding schedule.

I understand that many people have no experience with MMO´s before WoW hit, but you guys need to realize one thing. MMO`s have never been about Raids only, this is what Blizzard tries to make you believe but its a wrong assumption.

MMO´s let you interact with other players, you meet and greed so to speak. Look at DAOC for instance. You can go everywhere yourself and if you find other players then you can group up or you just kill together. Warhammer worked the same way and TESO actually does so as well, until now at least.

There is no requirement to invite others, you can play just fine together by the public dungeon & quest system. This is how MMO´s worked in the traditional way, that whole "you cant go there without a premade" is WoW propaganda and ruined a whole franchise for years and if I read the comments at this thread its still in peoples head´s that MMO´s are all and only about raids.

You also need to understand that players who are worried about Adventure Zones usually don't have a problem with playing together, but with being forced to group. Lets face it, most guilds have a "do what I want or I kick you" system. If you don't join every raid, you get kicked. If you do a mistake you get insulted ... It is fully understandable that people like the OP just don't want this.

So if someone is spoiled, then its not the OP or the others who have an issue with the Adventure Zone, but those who believe that raids are the only content that an MMO should have.

The basis of an MMO is not to force you to group up, not to force you to join a guild, not to force you to be apart of an alliance, and not to force you to do anything. The goal of an MMO is to let you play the way you want. How ever because this community is such a troll-fest and such an immature, small minded group of children - we are stuck we people that demand you have a specific set of gear, stats, play a specific way: eg, no healer is allowed to also do dps in a dungeon, even though zenimax stated that you can play as you want how you want with who you want

The problem with this community is not the solo players them selves like me, who ONLY ever group up if we are forced to, in the case of dungeons, which should be public dungeons. Why should I be forced to do a raid? why should I be forced to do a dungeon, why should I be excluded from new story, new content because I like to go it alone.

NOW - what I do like is games like guildwars 2. I don't have to group up with any one, but I can run with a large group of people and do bosses and content, but I am not forced to sit around looking for a group, asking guild mates I despise or waiting for friends, who have better things to do then play some game for pix elated rewards that will probably either be rolled back (do to item duping bug) or nerfed, because some whiny little b!tch thinks their OP.

I would rather just be minding my own business and then see a large group of people or a small group and then just join in by following them. its more fun that way because then I can run off and do what I want and join back up later.

I think you kiddies, have the whole concept of MMO down as this forced grouping, forced raiding, forced dungeon bull crap. If you opened the world up and let people decide for them selves, should I run with this zerg fest or group up with friends to do some quests, then you would see a much more positive reaction from the community.

How ever when you force us to do a new zone only in groups and only by groups then you are limiting the ability for us to play as we like, how we like, when we like. Because now I have to be on at a specific time when the guild or the serve is active, be on to get a group, wait for the group and then follow the group when I might want to just ditch them for 5 minutes and go explore some off path area that might land me in a quest.

ES games, weather they are on-line or offline are all about exploration, getting lost in skyrim or oblivion only to find your way to some city after slaying dragons and trolls and other creatures.

Personally I dont care if this is an MMO or a solo game.

let me play the way I want to play, like you advertised.

Hey, I want to play on the back of a rainbow-farting unicorn, but it ain't happening.

Most MMOs force you to play in a specific alliance. Most MMOs have content which forces you to group up. If you don't like that, my grandfather had some immortal words of wisdom that may help: tough titties.

MMO is not just about being social or group content. It is a rpg at its core. Just like real life people get along just fine being anti social. Crafting, making money, having your own adventure without the help of others. All play styles belong in a mmo.

A mmo starts to fail, when it forces it focus heavily on group content, and not the other ways to play. Mind you, I don't think they are doing that now. More big grouping options are needed. I just hope they don't forget the rest of the players who don't care about it.

you're posts are nothing more then "shut up and do group content, welcome to MMO" you're the prime example why this community is full of small minded idiots.

I'm sorry, I wasn't aware that your posts were anything besides "I want more single-player in a game that already has a metric ton of soloable content."

I've played the Elder Scrolls series for well over a decade. When I want a single-player experience, I have plenty of games to satisfy that craving. Anyone who plays an MMO and doesn't expect at least some content to require grouping is too naive for words.

"Play how you want," has always been limited by the developers intentions, as it should be. Any game that actually let everyone play how they wanted would be a giant cluster.

But why have a whole new area group only? I want to go in and gather some mats and get some new weapons and maybe kill some bad guys :D
The overland area will be public like other zones, it will contain multiple dungeons

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I know its group content only but any chance we could solo it or some of it? even a quest or two?

I think they know there are those of us that like to solo more than group among their fans. I seem to think we will see more solo content as they expand.

I will however be a bit miffed if we do not see more solo type stuff after the first content release.

    bump :D

    1) No bumping allowed.

    2) Just give it a rest. You are the only one who thinks there isn't enough solo content.
