Solo this solo that

If I have to do 90% solo then why not just make the game a single player game and be done with it. I do have friends and I would like to play the game with them isn't that the point of an mmorpg?

    This is an Elder Scrolls game first, MMO second; this game remains true to its roots by offering a wealth of solo content, but gives just enough group content to satisfy the MMO label.

    There are dungeons, anchors, world bosses, elite mobs, PVP, and other random occurrences that promote grouping...pure questing, will steer towards solo-play, just like all other Elder Scrolls games.

    Actually, since one of the mottos is "play as you like" there should be no such thing as forced solo content.

    I think the devs intend an Elder Scrolls MMO and want to meet both needs equally. I'm an elder scrolls fan and have not played most mmos. But I disagree with the concept that this is Elder Scrolls first and MMO second.

    you have to solo 90%? to my knowledge the ONLY things that must be soloed are the main quests and some of the fighters guild/mages guild quests

    thats more like... 5% of the game (where in the world did you get 90%?). I think those are there to just sort of get the story in because its hard to take in the story with other people. Its a decent balance.

    Some people want the public dungeons to be solo only... you can't please everyone.

    We do not want them to be solo only. We want the OPTION to instance it to ourselves[solo] or anyone in a group.[actual CO-OP and social game-play] Instead of having to compete with 30 other players to get at least one hit on the boss for credit. 25 of those 30 are farming said boss...

    Make it where you can only get loot off the boss once per day - there - flow is fixed. (and they are working on this and honestly it should have been done before because people were doing that in beta)

    Making it instanced to solo and groups promote actual social gatherings and cooperative play. Or allows the lone wolf to do so as he pleases without destroying his/her immersion in this fantastic game world.

    It's more like 1% of the game. The trouble is, it forces people to face the fact that they don't actually know how to play, and that makes them angry. ;)

    Well it doesn't make me angry just I came from FFXI where everything was party based and I really hated the fact that you had to have a party for everything just the fact what I can be in a party and the other people just disappear and not come back we have to logout and come back and hopes it fixes the problem I love the game that's just my only issue and yes that 90% was a little high lol

    Oh, the phasing. They are supposed to be working on a fix for that. For now, you can use "travel to player" on the group screen and hope for the best, but you have to be on the same stage of a quest.

    There's not enough solo in this game.

    For group content you've already got Public Dungeons, Caves, Instanced Dungeons, PvP, all Over World content, soon Craglorn, all World Bosses, ect.

    For Solo all we get is the Main Story, Fighters Guild, and Mages Guild. That's it.

    Most of the game is forced grouping and all you people are ruining my game by making things to easy or being other wise annoying. Zergs of people run around and destroy all the anchors, world bosses, dungeons, ect.

    Zergs of people run around doing the pick up quests making it impossible for me to save/collect 10 _____.

    There should be about 1/3rd of the people per Channel (phase) that there currently are.

    I agree with you, op. No one's arguing for making content easier. No one's arguing for forced grouping. Social players just want to be able to play the game with friends without being forced apart randomly. It's very jarring and annoying. People have limited free time and want to spend time with others while playing.

    I hate how every one of these threads have people going, 'Oh you don't know how to play!' Some of us don't care about being super elite in a video game. Some of us just want to have fun. Being forced apart from my friends and boyfriend in a game that's advertised as Elder Scrolls with friends isn't fun.

    I like challenging content too. In my opinion if they want to make content harder while in a group with scaling or something, that's fine. I just want the option to group at all times, just like I think people should be able to solo all content if they want.
