So now that what some of us have been warning about is public...

Can we have a reply from ZOS on what is being done to correct the exploits? I'm sorry but we have been trying to warn you so you could correct it but all that's been done so far is cover-up's and threads being deleted while players continued to cheat. With the public notice and negative advertising... a statement is needed before the reputation of the company is shot, and what some of us have come to thoroughly enjoy is ruined.

If not carefully corrected with roll backs included through wide scanning of millions of accounts for excessive gold, items, trades, and use... we could see a game die faster than that junk that was Aion.

Next step is to fix PVP balance and stop the PVE trading of objectives and kills...

Today is April 19 and on May 4-6 the majority of players with free time subs for purchasing the game will be deciding to start paying the monthly fee or leave before throwing away money into a failed experiment.

(While critical, I have the hopes that this game works and the experience to know)

They've already fixed the bug causing the exploit and banned a lot of people. Nothing will be rolled back thanks to no server wide auction house, the impact was minimal.

BTW, that has to be one of the most biased writers I have ever seen. He has had nothing good to say about this game since it was announce p2p. His articles are probably the worst to read to see what is actually going on with the game.

Wow with the decline of the economy Forbes sure is stretching to stay relevant. I can assure you anyone who really is into economics takes anything forbes says with a grain of salt. They are a joke and this proves that further.

Its also that same windbag who said the game would fail on its payment model alone.. they are just BEGGING for hits and you just gave them a few.

Don't worry about it, keep posting your input and and flagging anyone you see that may have tons of gold from it. I'm sure zenimax is doing there best and this will work out I've seen this happen before and it wasn't the end of the world.

If not carefully corrected with roll backs

I'd be careful throwing that "roll back" word around.

If the problem is as wide spread as people make it out to be then the easiest way would be to roll back the entire server.

Imagine how annoyed a lot of people would get.

I'd be one of the ones jumping ship if that happened.

Agreed. This game has little pocket economies and I think very few of them (at least the ones I'm a part of) have seen much impact. If there was a global economy this might hold some salt but there isn't. Yet another reason I like the way guild stores work.

In a way the guild auction houses are like little water-tight compartments. Any market instability would be very localised and thus easily identified. I just hope they come down hard on the people who used the dupe exploit - accounts banned permanently would be best.

That is exactly what they are doing.

As far as I know you are correct. Harsh scans and bans... What I hope is that the holes are finally fixed and more is server side. Client side leaves too many holes to exploit
