Making Gold ANd Quest Gold

thegamekittenub17_ESO
I am level 25 and have run into quest giving 50 gold as a reward. This is kinda of annoying since the rewards are so low and the price of everything is so high. Bank upgrades, bag upgrades, horses, and maintaining horses. Since they nerfed the cooking of blues (I use two and sold the rest for at least horse feed of two horses per day with a tiny amount of change left over) and basically what I get from random looting of barrels, crates, bags, and etc in dungeons, running around, and etc..is stupid food stuff or random worthless stones.

How is everyone making crazy gold? The quest reward as far as gold..well is LMFAO low. Now I understand what this game was based off of, but I also know when you looting in the single player you got more than worthless stones (race stones) and food items for cooking. There was a way to gather gold to afford what you needed even a house. Here it seems that they didn't do math for the actual economy since everything is high priced and rewards are low. I mean following 6 quest to get a low 350 gold reward is mind boggling.

And selling things through a guild store? Seriously? So am I suppose to quest and level or just stay collecting resources, researching, and crafting to get any kind of gold and remain at a level (such as 25) until I can get enough gold to get things I need or want?

I guess I am asking how are people actually making gold when the quest rewards more times than not are a complete joke?

I'd stop deconstructing stuff. It's the biggest cash-sink you never notice. During those 6 quests you probably picked up armor and weapons worth more than twice as much.

I know that on my alt where I decided to just vendor 95% of the gear I found I was suddenly finding myself feeling very wealthy indeed

I might try that. I have two 1 gold horses (store and imperial) I feed daily. The repairs in some areas is just stupid. I got hit like 6 times in a series of quests and my repair bill was almost 400 gold. I hit harder than my fiancé who plays with me and usually I get the argo (lol go leather wearing, dark summoner, and bow wielding mage?).

It so discouraging to go through quests and get one you had to battle crazy amounts of mobs and get 49g for a reward and nothing else. I am trying another MMO and find I can vendor junk for more than that and the quest rewards are sweet compared to this and my toon on the other game is level 4 and gets more in a reward than my level 25 here.

I don't farm bosses and with bots and farmers I rarely see blues in any public dungeons (they are too easy to throw the ban hammer down in this game even if you are innocent and no I haven't been ban, but shesh I do read the forums). So I am seeing very little income. My blue food (from recipes) sell the same as the average joe recipes. No kidding. I stop putting points in provision since they nerfed cooking because of gold spamming websites that have bots. There should be a way to earn a living (virtual if you will) for toons so they can keep up with the game life. Even have some to spend on fluff if they want.

Crafting blocks a lot of income if you deconstruct quest rewards and trash drops.

I tend to harvest every node I see and refine it for the improvement mats and crystals and then sell the refined ore/cloth/leather/wood on if I don't need it.

I don't bother with the guild stores though. Granted it's only 400 gold a pop for a stack of 100 ore at a vendor but I pick up enough of it to get a decent income.

Thank you. I am thinking of just selling all resources until I hit almost cap or waiting till I hit cap and get Vet 1 and trying to build up my crafting. I am sick of not being able to get upgrades and such because the lack of money from quests. I am level 25 and don't even have anywhere near enough gold to buy the cheapest horse (not store or imperial). And when the reward is just enough to cover my repair build (after doing the chain quests) that annoys me more. But I am indeed going to try this as well. In my honest opinion they didn't really research the economy and just stuck to the single player economy but without the single player loot system.

I hear you, I struggle as well. One thing I would say, I would recommend you don't spend money on repairs unless it's a really special item. Typically you get stuff you can use to replace your gear really often. Repair costs are huge and generally unnecessary at the lower levels.

Especially if you're crafting, just make a new piece and deconstruct/research the broken one.

Wait for the time after you done questing.. I made my v10 only by questing , no farming, no grinding and nothing... since i`m exceptionally unlucky I didnt really get any motifs, and all I have I bought..

Now darkshade has been nerfed to oblivion , and solo farming is so contraproductive that you spend more on repairs than you actually get by farming solo dungeons or any zones you are in ...

I've tried material hunting for hours and it pays very little...

This is the very first MMO i've played in decade that has literly NO WAY to ear money after reaching end game... every single mmo i've played before has at least some sort of daily quests so that if you are not lucky *** (like friend of mine who sold several daedric motifs ...) you actually HAVE A WAY to make money ... here ?.. forget it.. make a new char and get money by questing ( which is not an option for me - I don't wanna have alts, I want to have 1 character and make it perfect in every way) or you can move on to another game..

heres a few tips I have picked up , when you get to lvl 10 , go do some pvp until you can outfit your toon fully with armour and weapons ,its all greens so much fun ,masses of running around .
you might not never need to make your own armour again skip a few lvls get new armour carry on, with the craft you get so much stuff . so make wads of toons and use them as storage until you can upgrade bags + bank slots,
the game is or should be fun tonight I had a overdose of fun in pvp .
    hope that helps you some
    many thanks

I have noticed that repairs have suddenly become way to expensive and the lack of money to be gotten in game. The economy is a joke compared to ANY other MMO out there. I find this ticks me off that they are punishing their players with this type of economy.

I have until fall/winter of this year then I can play a real MMO and not this single player game with MMO DLC (as if MMO was the after thought) joke. I am staying because I love my fiance and he wants to play this. He is paying both subs, so I will endure this. I believe once he hits Veterans, I will be happily playing that other game sooner than fall/winter.

I really tried to love this game since launch. Just so much is broken and it seems the game punishes paying customers. I see why they have a gold spammer and bot issue. As I told my fiance if this doesn't get better by fall/winter I'm out. I'm not paying 15 bucks a month to be slapped aside the head by any company.

They need to lower prices or up loot drops. I mean seriously no loot drops from mobs six levels under you, even the bosses? Shesh every MMO I've played had loot drops from low levels (even levels 1), it might be just trash but it was enough to get a few coins from. And they charge you 15 gold for race stones, but the resell factor is 0. They pay you 20-40 gold for armor, but repairs are astounding on same armor. Cooking was at least paying a good profit, but they decided OMG some player MIGHT ACTUALLY make some gold..NERF time! The Guild store is a big fat joke. Nothing like killing a public dungeon boss and recieving 2 gold..>.> Now I got to deal with the stupid rapid armor decay.

Sorry I am ticked off about this single player wannabe MMO game. So, I will stop here until I can again post in a calmer manner.

The way to make money: don't deconstruct white or green items if it's not for your craft. Instead just vendor them.

Also vendor the 100 pcs stacks if you out leveled the material. It's not worth the time looking for a buyer. Everyone has more than he needs, so just vendor it.
