Bards of the realm unite!

As I sat in Mistral pub enjoying the talented vocal style of our resident Bosmer bard, I came to realize we should all show our appreciation for the gifts our musical comrades bestow. In times such as these, raising spirits can be as vital as raising armies, and so in recognition of their invaluable contributions to the solidarity of our great empire, I would propose the formal establishment of a united guild of bards.

How can we help give back?

To begin with, every bard should be licensed to collect donations (tip jar), which shall be registered across the realm. A bulletin board would be found in major cities and settlements that would list those of greatest renown, their location, and information about their background.

This could become a forum for the telling of their stories. People could subscribe to the "mailing list" of individual bards (as many as they wish?), either through the "top billboard" or directly on encountering them, and receiving regular mailings much like the crafting hirelings, that detailed their adventures and insights, relative to their respective venues.

"Over the seas and far away."

Furthermore, certain seasonal festivals and local celebrations would recruit from the ranks of those regional celebrities with the greatest followings, and subscribers receive advertized notification of their favored talent's upcoming appearance in such occasional group concerts, bringing a sense of fellowship to these events.

This would help to paint a cultural tapestry of these hosting venues, and bring in people from across the realm to share in the revelry.

Join me, people of Tamriel, in recognition of these musical storytellers, these weavers of lore and peace. Let us raise our glasses in solute to the muse...

To the Bards!
