Guild Information
We, The Argent Vigilance, are a holy crusade guild, sworn in particular to the worship of Stendarr, the Aedra of Justice and Mercy. Our duty is to search out and destroy all who align themselves with the Daedra. While The Vigilance would normally take no part in the general fighting of any war, preferring to stay in High Rock and search out betrayers, due to the Imperials pact with Mogal Bal, The Order sees it necessary as part of their Duty to meet any who would fight under the Imperial banner. Because of this they will also fight the Aldmeri and Members of the Ebonheart pact to seal victory over the Imperial Scum. Our Ventures are not merely the destruction of the Daedra but also all half Daedric Races, such as Vampires and Werewolves. To the Vigilance, there is no difference, and whether or not they cast their allegiance to the Covenant they shall be purged under our holy flame.
Within the Ranks of the Vigilance, there is no man who would question his loyalty to both Stendarr and the Grand Master, For every man has been chosen and trained to know no doubt nor fear, as they know that the way of Justice is the only true path to peace. We Believe ourselves to be the only salvation of true faith within the World, and as such all those who would dare question the purity or the Morales of us are deemed heretics. We act upon areas that we believe Stendarr has chosen for us to aid and will assist any who swear their Faith. We may also act as auxiliary forces to various military sections of the Daggerfall Covenant if they believe that it is necessary to further the goals of the Argent Vigilance and yet will leave upon a moments notice should they be required elsewhere, much to the dismay of their allies. Yet none can say that in a fight, the Vigilance does not provide, as their near radical zeal combined with a strong discipline allow for them to charge without fear and kill without remorse but still allows them to follow orders when told them.

OOC Information
On a more out of character note, The AV is hoping to be the very pinnacle of zealous Role-playing within The Elder Scrolls Online. Our aims are to create a fun atmosphere for all Rpers who wish to show their devotion to Stendarr and meet lots of like minded people. We have already built up a small group of experienced Role-players who all have knowledge on the style of role-playing our guild does and will also prove to be friendly and amiable people. As for OOC rules they are simple, no racism, sexism, open arguments with other members in public and other such acts. While we try to make a friendly environment anyone who breaks the rules shall quickly find themselves searching for a new guild.

Ranks and Orders
The Vigilance is no longer a mere group of priests praying for salvation but in all aspects almost an army, as such the different tasks that the Vigilance takes up in the name of Stendarr require different methods to deal with them, whether the sword or the word. As such the Vigilance is split into three sections, for the three key aspects of the Vigilance : Strength, Faith and Wisdom. This is all run by the High Council who oversees the very workings of the Vigilance.
Ordo Militant - The Order of the Military
The Ordo Militant is the military section of the Vigilance, trained for battle and war. Each soldier and knight has been both physically and spiritually prepared to face whatever enemy the Grand Master deems the greatest. There are three main sections of the Ordo Militant each incorporating a different aspect of combat. The Infantry, a unit of heavily armoured ground based soldiers, mainly armed with sword, shield and spear. The Cavalry, ranks upon ranks of battle hardened knights ride atop armoured destriers and wielding steel tipped lances. And the Auxiliary units, these fill a great deal of roles from archers loosing wave after wave of arrows to Mages smiting all our foes with fire and death.
Aspirant

The aspirant is the rank of those new to the order whom intend to serve in battle, they are men and women of worth. The aspirant is different from other "Recruit" ranks as an aspirant is not just rabble conscripted into the order, they are men and women who made the choice to fight be it for their family or simply for the good of the Nirn, they will fight to the last.
Men-At-Arms

The Men-At-Arms are the men and women who have risen above the rank of Aspirant and proven themselves to some degree to the order. They are expected to know that they fight for and to fight for it with even more zeal than any aspirant.
Squire
"I've spent a lot of time, blood, sweat and tears on trying to do my best for Stendarr and I took my chances in battle. Now they offer me a chance at knighthood in the name of Stendarr! Harsh training lies ahead but I know I cannot stop now, my life is here now. Fighting for a righteous cause in lands I never thought I'd see. I will not disappoint either the Grand Master or Stendarr, for they have both had faith in me."
The squire is a soldier who have been given the chance to undertake the training to become a true knight of the order. While he does not have yet the true skill at arms as a full knight he will often prove to have greater skill than that of the average man-at-arms. They are often much more driven than any of his lower brothers as well.

The knight is the highest rank one can achieve in the Ordo Militant. To become a knight brother takes skill, determination and Stendarrs favor. All knights are well trained and disciplined as well as being fierce believers in the gods. They are the true armoured fist of the Vigilance, riding to battle atop gigantic Destriers, wielding gleaming lances and blades, clad in the finest steel. The cavalry division of the Ordo Militant is the pride of the Vigilance, its key unit. While you are required to join the Cavalry to become a knight, many consider joining the cavalry to be an incredibly high honour.

The Captains are leaders of the three sections of the Ordo Militant as chosen by the Grand Master himself, The Infantry, The Cavalry and the Auxiliary units. They are battle hardened veterans who have great skill in the art of war and warfare. The Captain leading the Cavalry is known as the Knight-Captain, though generally the Lord-Captain chooses to lead this unit personally.

Ordo Divinicus - Order of the Divines
The Ordo Divinicus is the order devoted to the worship and praise of the Eight divines. None can match them in their fealty nor zeal, and they are a fearsome sight to behold when they charge upon the battle field. They are the Chosen of Stendarr to spread his word and as such they fear no evil nor death, as they know that Stendarr is with them where ever they go.
Chaplains
"They say that Stendarr speaks to the Chaplains and instructs them on how to keep us from the ever present darkness. I once saw a Chaplain heal one of our men in the field and then turn around wielding a war-hammer yelling "For Stendarr!" and charge the evils that had struck our man. No fear at all and he killed the fiend too."
The Chaplains are the dedicated priests of the order, keeping faith and morale up when darkness draws close.However they are not just priests they are also warriors of great skill and zeal, willing to take on any evil that they face without fear.
Inquisitors
"We were doing some praying in the chapel when suddenly the doors burst open and a breeze that put out almost all the candles we had lit swept through the building, at first we were afraid that it was something of evil nature but our worries grew greater when we understood who had burst the door open. The High Inquisitor himself stood in the door way with two knights with the inquisitorial Armour on them. They wasted no time and grabbed one of the men and dragged him away kicking and screaming for his dear life, we all felt relief.They were here only for him. Never saw him again though."
The Inquisition is the internal police force of the order as well as the orders first weapon against powerful Daedra, they serve the will of the High Inquisitor and are all very powerful warriors but their training is one who few pass and some even die from. The Inquisition are to most in the order feared not just for their secretive and mysterious nature, but also because the inquisition will save you from Daedra one day and drag you off to be burned at the stake the next.
Ordo Administorum - Order of the Administration
Even though the Vigilance is the chosen group by Stendarr himself, Prayer and Swords will not keep the Order running alone. Many other aspects such as the building of fortifications and the management of Food must be taken into account, and this is where the Ordo Administorum is found. These are brave civilians who have decided to assist the Order not merely by fighting, but putting every waking hour into making sure that the Order keeps running smoothly. Without them, there would be no Argent Vigilance
Civilian Staff
"We came here because they took our homes, be it Daedra or be it our government but whatever the case the order Vigilance took us in. Sheltered us and in return we work their smiths and arm their holy soldiers as well as build their chapels and their forward bases. We owe them everything as do we Stendarr."
The Civilian Staff, these people came to the order in one way or another seeking its shelter and offered to work for the order in return. Their duties are many but to mention some:Carpentry, Smithing, cooking, tailoring and so forth.
Librarians

The Librarian and his apprentices serve the order by keeping the orders records and archives in shape as well as to add to them. Librarians should not be discarded in combat however as they are still strong warriors and if the records are threatened, they will yield ground to none.
The High Council
The Members of the High council are a varied selection of the greatest members of the three different Sub-Orders. As such the Council is almost always able to come up with a solution to almost every problem put before them. They are the united voice of Stendarr and there will is law to the Members of the Argent Vigilance.

[The wise Librarian whom keep all the records of the order serves as one of the advisers to the Grand master.He fills the meeting hall with his wisdom and all whom understand it will often ponder upon it a while before any retort is made.

The Lord Captain leads the military forces of the order and also serves as one of the Grand Masters advisers. His words are often the short and rough words of a veteran of a thousand battles and his wisdom of battle is one to be considered in all military matters.

High Inquisitor
"I saw the High Inquisitor once, he looked at me and I felt like he was going to cut me down right there and then but he just nodded at me and walked on to the council chambers. How the Inquisitors deal with that everyday is beyond me."
The High Inquisitor is the ruthless and some would say cruel leader of the Inquisition and also one of the advisers to the Grand Master. His words are often few and rare but when he speaks the halls often go quiet and almost cold and his words are always well informed and sharp. His skills with a blade rival that of even the Grand master.

Honour Guard
"We are the shield of the Grand master, under our watch shall no evil enter these halls while even one of us draw breath!Our steel is sharp and our faith shall be our armour against the darkness!"
The Honour guard serve the Council but mostly the Grand Master as extremely devoted body guards. Whom will gladly give their lives to defend the Grand Master or any other Council member.

The leader of the order, his faith is great and he is a great warrior. He sets the example for the order to follow in all things and will never surrender to the enemy. He is the absolute leader of the Vigilance and even the other members of the council will bow to his will if he is set upon a goal.

Be warned though, upon joining you will be trained to become one of the greatest warriors in the world, yet the dangers shall be great. Not many of you will pass through training, and none through it unscathed. Once you have completed the agony and pain that is training....well....then your true journey begins, among the ranks of the Argent Vigilance, Praise be to Stendarr!"
