No. The whole point of companies keeping their security systems secret is to prevent botters from circumventing them.

The stacks of characters running round is from a player running multi-accounts at one time via one keyboard/mouse/game controller. I saw this once in a dungeon where there was like 8-10 bots all camping one boss. They would insta-kill whatever appeared. I reported as many as I could lock on - easy since they were all standing still.

There is only one thing that motivates any company, Money. Speak with that and you may see action.

This is one of the things that is nice about many console games, it does decrease the frequency of these types of things, so much easier to build hacks on the PC side for things like MMO's.

They would farm other things. Find other ways to make gold.

Changing the boss drops doesn't change anything in regards to botters. You people that wanted it changed didn't improve the game you just spread the bots out into other areas to annoy more people.

It won't eliminate famers, but fewer 'traffic-jammed' bots will reduce my frustration as a player. The incentive for Zeno to manage an overall bot mitigation strategy will persist - it represents real consequence in terms of reputation.

Farming resources, where there is no real market for them because the marketplace is pretty limited (guild etc..),compounded by the difficulty of the storage and mail mechanic and limits in stack size, likely means resources are sold rather than held and marketed. It would be interesting to take a peak at some of the metrics (graph of storage capacity / account, graph of commodity duplication per account, graph of mail and attachments / account etc...) but my guess is farmers must be predominantly harvesting for RMT.

What I'm startled by is how little reward (real cash) the game effort requires (even taking scripts into account - the effort to amass 30k gold that is selling for 10 bucks... wow). So either farmers are employing hundreds of bots at a time (which should increase likelihood of detection) or there are more players selling extra gold because there aren't enough money sinks.

On a side note, I'm still trying to decide if the complexity of the marketplace and storage management dimensions of this game was purposeful to help defeat botters or merely bad game design: I'm on the fence but leaning towards amateurish game design. There are just so many simple flaws (no 'reply' function in mail / no search in inventory... such a long list of 'oops we forgot' as to not infer some bad design). What is clear is that the idea of bag and storage limits being built as a money sink is good, but the application of design was limited. There were far too many ways to mitigate frustration in players that just haven't been considered or implemented not to believe this was near-sighted bad design...

My girlfriend played the Beta. I've played many online games before but I usually don't play new games as new as this one.

The gold chat spammers--I made a new window without zone and say. It's annoying but I can deal with that.

However, I went into my first dungeon today. I'm really taken back by all the boss camping. I couldn't even figure out what type of boss/monster it was because it was dead in a blur of movement and light by so many toons just waiting for it to appear.

I have a stressful, full-time job and playing a few hours every night online is a great stress relief for me.

Honestly, at this point, I feel my game purchase and monthly fee are a waste. At least I can click on the banker.

What they need to do is have a NPC spawn and be invincible but never attack. Then have it walk into some random part of a dungeon and sit there. Do this every 30 minutes.

Unfortunately, the recent reduction in frequency of boss loot drops doesn't seem to have done much to dissuade the bots.

They're still camping every dungeon I've checked.

    Anybody else had better luck?
