Greyed Out Quest: No quest marking on map or compass ?

I have forgotten to finish a lower lvl quest and its greyed out.

The issue: Not a single quest marking is showing up on the compass or map

Anyone else did encounter such a problem ?

I did quit the quest and realise you cant even pick up a greyed out quest.
