But yes, questing went well. My vampire character finished the vampire quest at level 11, so I'd call that successful.

✭✭So you say that the bites will be "Free" and for "All" players. However, on your own forums, under the rules you gave to the Vampires giving out bites...you told them not to bite anyone under level 35? Doesn't that automatically exclude a lot of the player base right there? That also seems like a restriction no different than requiring a player to have XX amount of gold, because either way that is game time they had to invest, and without it, they would be excluded. So what is the difference?0 -
JasonConstantine✭✭✭Goregrinder, Our players and our rules are in place for a reason.
#1 Players sub level 35 may be able to complete the quest, but they will not be able to level up their Vampirism to Rank 6 in time to turn around their bite for the event. It takes over 500k XP to level to Vampire Rank 6 and get the skill needed to bite. This is the reason we try and avoid giving bites to those below a specific level, a better way to state it is we give priority to those players who are are higher level in order to make the most out of the event by turning over bites as quickly as possible.
That being said, we are not just biting players over level 35. We are giving them priority over those lower level. For every 2 players we turn over level 35 we are turning one below our level cap. It would be unfair to completely exclude them from our event.
The reason for this is the way XP scales in the game. A VR1 player gets way more XP per kill, and per quest then a level 16 player. We have done the math and a level 16 player in order to get to Vampire Rank 6 off questing and kills alone would need to get to level 35 in order to reach the 500k XP mark to get the skill needed to turn another player. At the same time a V1 or higher player can do it in a matter of hours, giving us additional bites to use on the day that player was bitten.
