I'm having some real fun with a sorcery using a destruction staff. Of course, with the way skill bars are implemented, you can't have everything. This is great, but I am having a hard time making choices now that I am level 20. I also am not sure what secondary weapon to take up now that I can swap weapons.
My questions:
1) Does the bonus to spell critical from magelight affect destruction staff quick and heavy attacks? What about restoration staff quick and heavy attacks?
2) Does magelight provide any benefit to the spell attacks of the winged twilight?
3) Does anyone feel that Consuming Soul Trap is useful in longer fights, thanks to its DoT effect and its restoration of health, magika, and stamina? Or do level 50/veteran players just farm souls for soul gems with it?
4) Aside from expert summoner perks in Daedric summoning, how else can I improve the fighting ability of my summoned creatures? Can the winged twilight heal the clanfear as well as me?
5) With rebate, is the volatile familiar a cost effective way to deal damage, assuming it gets to attack at least a few times before it dies and explodes?
6) Penetrating Magic only affects actual skills of the destruction staff, right? It doesn't help with Sorcerer skills at all?
7) Essence Drain: does it only work when wielding a restoration staff?
