I keep coming across mines and I'm not sure if I should just go in and run around it or will a quest take me to all the mines. I don't want to spend time running it and then get a quest that makes me go back in.
Do most mines have a quest line or are they simply there for exploring?

Nasuradin_ESO✭✭✭If you come across an area with a "torch" icon, its a public dungeon that will have a skyshard in it, so its worth going in anyways.
Most of the time, you will find quests for them, if any, nearby or inside as others have said.
Very rarely, will you have a quest from elsewhere tell you to go back to one of them, but they do exist, like the first mage's quest.0 -
