Decisions, Decisions... Add Hide-able Armor (Option)

In my opinion, they should add this OPTION to all armor... not just the helmet. Again, I think this should be the games mentality, to have options. I'd rather have to go to the settings and change this once than deal with an interface that is not appealing to me. AGAIN, lol I think for an MMO to be 'successful' it should have OPTIONS in all aspects of the game...

    I'll bite....

Are you expecting to get stats from your armour even if it is hidden?
Who has time? But if we never take time how can we ever have time?

No this will then be abused in PvP, we and group leaders need to be able to tell what the enemy player ( Targeted) Player is wearing Light, Medium or heavy armour

The reason we have a Hide Helmet option is due to two reasons Role-play and the fact when creating our characters we would spend the most time on the face, how great to then hide it under a helmet.

If I'm not completely mistaken, there is a game with hideable armor / lots of "social clothing" options, but as soon as you enter PvP, those options are turned off.

Is the helmet hideable already? Where can you do that?

    Settings -> gameplay.

I'm not sure if I want to see crowds of people in their underwear, but eh, I'll live. As long as it's turned off in PvP.

I can finally look at my beautiful red hair as I enter battle, instead of my ugly grey helmet. Thankyou.

Well keep in mind I'm not just referring to hide-able armor. I just think the best way to appeal to the masses is to provide them with options. The opportunities for ESO are endless and I think the interface and gameplay should reflect that... which it does but to an extent. Otherwise, I do genuinely love this game.

    I'm ambivalent.

If stats on hidden armor didn't apply, this would allow for some customization of appearance. Since they have no "appearance armor" slots beyond the full body "costume" option, that's a good thing.

On the other hand, there will inevitably be people running around with everything hidden just because they can. That's silly and immersion-breaking.

Neverwinter Online did a lot of things wrong, but I think they found a fair middle ground on this. They allow you to hide some armor parts, but not others (re: chest slot).

In the meantime, the public API does allow for macro swapping of full gear sets. ESOUI has an addon that does this. Personally I think this is an abuse of the API that circumvents game mechanics (such as gaining a secondary weapon slot to swap to at 15), but until/if it gets patched that addon is a workaround option for you.

I honestly don't want to see nude women in battle, its already disgusting enough while you are in town and men or women show their precious...

Helmet, Shoulders I agree with - the rest shouldn't be invisible.

Do you know the name of the mod you are referring to?

On that subject, while running down the main thoroughfares in town, will people please refrain from bouncing up and down, or even worse, "hurdling" over people coming the other way.

This results fullscreen extreme close up of your sweaty leather codpiece for the other player and let me tell you, once seen, things like that cannot be "unseen".
