Using Tell or Whisper

How do you format the command
/t playername or /w playername
when the target name has a space in it? (firstname lastname)
I've tried putting the name in single quotes, double quotes and left and right arrows (<player name>).

I read somewhere - perhaps in the in-game help section - you're supposed to put a comma after the player's name, then type your message.

So /w player name, [your message here]

This works as far as I have seen. Leaving the comma out has resulted (for me) in no message being sent (although the ui doesn't really give any clear feedback when the message isn't sent, so it's hard to tell).

Anyway, try a comma after the username.
