Skill respec question

Does anyone know if respecing your skill points interrupts your crafting research? Currently my clothing skill is maxed out and I have all 3 research slots being used, all of which are 3-6 days away from completion. Resetting my skills will take away the Passover in the craft line to allow for extra research slots and reduced time. So my question is will respecing mess anything up with this research or am I just overthinking this?

I've been told yes, you lose any active research (and do not get the item back).

I've not tested this myself, and have little desire to :P
