Crafting Sets

I do like the idea of the more you research the more sets you can unlock to craft, I even appreciate the special forges spread all over. What does bother me are all those sets out there, mostly superior to crafted ones on their bonuses that we cant learn or do anything with. So I had an idea, how about once we learn all standard traits on an item that we can then research pieces of sets of that piece and then we must go to the earth forge to craft those learned items. This would make it both challenging to obtain, but also make the earth forge actually feel more special than some camp in the wilderness in Rivenspire.

As we in the wild (sort of speak) some sets dont have more than 3 pieces or 5, therefore once you learn the entire pieces available it unlocked set for all armor/weapons. We all know the standard trait and enchantment on those sets arent why we want them, it is their set bonuses and lets face it their trait/enchantment is easily replaceable so crafting it would require we put our own trait/enchantment on it, which is preferred by many anyway.

A good example, so you learn all the traits possible on a heavy chest, helm and sword. You then research your OF the Dragon chest, helm and sword. Mmm why didnt it unlock all pieces? Well in the wild there i also a OF the Dragon shield, so I hope you like wood working, otherwise you can only craft the helm, sword and helm. However if you are dedicated and have researched all traits on shield in wood working as well and you research the shield, then you can now craft any piece OF the Dragon to your liking.

I can think of a few werewolfs that would enjoy a mixed Of the Dragon set and the set I dont recall the name of that reduces WW transformation by 33%, now granted Of the Dragon is Heavy and the other is medium armor, so if you choose to mix it up, so be it let them stack, but to craft both you better be good at blacksmithing, wood working and clothing and researched your butt off.
