Looking for a fun PVE build

As the title says, im having a hard time having fun.
What i like to do, is be in the thick of the battle, especially daedra, undead and dark anchors and such (Fighters guild skills are deadly effective).
I never was much of a caster, but IMO ESO got magic right, so i dont mind magicka or stamina builds.
I like things simple, not mixing here and mixing from there.
My current DK is a mage, its very very effective but it gets boring fast. Walk into a mob, hit wall of elements, burning talons, breath fire....finish off the stranglers.
We all need some form of crowd control, not always will there be someone near you or a friend with CC abilities.....
What do you guys recon? is such a build viable? some sort of undead slayer?
