Anyone else sick of this whole werewolf/vampire conondrum?

All you see in zone chat is selling bites, buying bites, getting groups for bites and complaining about bite sellers. It seems like there is nothing else in this game just the stupid werewolf and vampire line. i get it, these things are popular with twilight kids and whatnot, but come on, there is so much more on this game, just shut up already. Want to be a vampire/werewolf? Research how and do it, just shut up about it already... please?

This isn't exploitation, lol. it's intended for people to be able to bite others with a weekly cooldown, the developers were very much aware there would be 2 kind of people, the small group giving them away for free to friends/guilds and the big group selling them to others, though, I would never had expected people to be paying these huge amounts (20-30k is considered huge if you ask me, considering the other day the werewolves lasted for a very long time)

Oh I forgot the third group, people scamming.


Anyways, I personally think this werewolf/vampire thing is overhyped, but if it wasn't, I wouldn't have made that easy gold which I will hopefully make again in 4days.

Zilas, in my view it becomes exploitation when they camp the npc (npc hunting is now apparently illegal anyhow) and therefore not letting anyone else get the bite, with the sole purpose that they will sell it on.

I honestly couldn't care less. I'm a Vamp level 10, I give my bites out for free every 7 days. If people want to make money on it, whatever, more power to them. People want to buy it? Buy away. As long as they are aware of how easily they can be scammed.

You weren't inb4 that unfortunately.

To expand upon your point, however, I find being a vampire to be excellent for my sorcerer in PvE. Devouring Swarm is a nice ultimate and with midnight drain, the health regen penalties don't bug me at all.

the problem is the people that have already gotten their bite camping the spawn locations so they can kill the mob as soon as it spawns to stop players from getting a free bite, selling the bite is stupid, give the players a chance at getting the bites instead of trying to gold farm it

Its exploitation, many people that sell bites also camp the spawns to keep others from getting infected to keep their "income"

Im kind of looking forward to seeing how far I can get in PvP as a Vampire, honestly. I think a smart Vampire/Werewolf player might be able to go far in PvP with the benefits the line provides. It will be an interesting challenge.

While true i picked "Bite selling is just greed and exploitation" , i dont mind the people selling/buying said bites.

That is their choice , what i mind is when people hunt said mobs so that others cant get the bite.

I report them double sometimes , one for doing this and thus griefing players , which i dont think really gets any of them in trouble , but sometimes they also got nice names , i love to report them for that. With some luck they will be forced to lose their names.

Grief the griefers , simple solution.

I am really sick and tired of people who just insult vampires and wolves , calling the players that choose to get the skills lines , twilight fans, i never seen the movies , just saw some trailers ,with that moron who sparkles in the sunlight and said "Nope , nothing to see here". I play a vampire , reached rank 10 in the skill line , and i like it , since it is more akin to what the guys in the Anne Rice books were ( to a certain degree of course , since its an MMO , we can't play as Akasha or one of her subjects :P ).

And of course , the game is designed in a way that being a creature of the nigh , you can turn others as well , so if you feel like playing your way and turning friends and guild mates , awesome , if you want to get some cash on the side and just view it as an extra option in battle with some extra flavour the the game , since it brings both benefits and drawbacks , what is your problem with it ? I mean , if you don't like the zone chat , just freaking ignore it , or simply turn it off.

Everybody likes to exploiting bugs, the more people do it, the less punishment they will get.

Reduce ultimate cost to near zero? Vampire with no weakness to fire? Com ' on now.

I say make vampire incurable, then fixed these two bugs. You want to be a vamp? Now live like a true vamp.

The people who make all those god awful Twilight jokes aren't as witty or clever as they think are. Everybody makes fun of that ***. It's the new cool thing to do, and they seem believe that vampires and werewolves never existed before Twilight. I guess the only thing they've ever read or watched in their lifetime is Twilight.
Zone chat is generally a cesspool of prepubescent teenage boys to begin with anyway. How people talking about ww & vampires is somehow more inane/annoying than what is usually discussed is beyond me. Between the guild spam, WoW comparisons and everything else...

We'll the only reason the whole biting thing works is that when you get the bite, you won't have to go do them quests to make you a vamp or werewolf.

I honestly think it's a trend that people will get over as they die pretty quickly in PvP.

Nooo vampires and werewolves are awesome!

I loved the vampire genre since the 80's and 90's when Lost Boys and Dark Shadows ( Ben Cross ) came out and have been wanting a game like it ever since . Elder Scrolls was the answer . All of this was before Twilight came out , as for PvP , I'm a stealth character who hardly dies in PvP and would from time to time run with guildies in picking off people .

Personally I think it should be set up so whoever is inflicted has a very small chance of "losing control" at some point and will randomly bite someone they are grouped with (with a window do you want to be bitten? Yes or No")
