Low damage dealing

Hello everyone, I've grown bored of tanking and I decided to give damage dealing a shot. I'm a Nord Dragonknight (Yeah I know Nords are the worst pick for DPS) , but still I should be able to dish out some nice damage by getting the right stats, and that's what I tried to do, I went 20 HP / 30 Stamina, reached the soft cap of Stamina, using 2H Sword / Bow along with full medium armor set for the crit bonus and my DPS is beyond bad, I tweaked it 2/3 times but I just can't seem to get the hang of it, something tells me that I'm missing something crucial to increase my damage, could some veteran DPS help me out with this?

what abilities are you using for your 2h and bow?
And what are you using to gauge your dps. are you running a meter of some sort?
also what level are you? and are you talking pve or pvp damage?

Full weapon skill builds will be bad dps. Mix in some class skills and ride the DK gravy train.

I wasn't using full weapon skill builds, I always mix up some class skills along with my weapon depending on how my playstyle will be (Ardent for DPS, Draconic for Tanking and Earthern for some "Support") , for example with my 2H Sword I was using "Burning Breath" to reduce their armor by 40% and do some nice damage with the Ardent passives, on my Bow I was using Burning Talons for CC and decent damage (or so I thought).
I also used "Green Dragon Blood" whenever I could on both of them for HP/Stamina regeneration.

My average DPS was around 100/150, and the funny part is that I switched back to full tank and I'm doing 200/250 now with Sword and Shield, quite confused here lol...

Don't heavy armour have passives that increase 2H damage?

I'd go with duel wield if your want to wear medium armour.

Yep, Heavy Armor does have a passive that grants me about 3% extra damage, still I don't think it could explain why tanking would deal more DPS than full Medium Armor, also I did try Dual Wield with 2 epic quality swords but no big difference sadly
