Only reason I ask these is because I often see people talking about ESO and saying it wasn't made by Bethesda, saying it was made by some new company and thinking it wont be as good a game due to this.

And is the sister company of Bethesda,
Which are both run by Zenimax Media.
Bethesda has been around since '86,
ZOS was founded in 2007.
Over time, I believe we can expect both companies to be on equal footing.

zytukin✭In a business which has released stock (ZeniMax has), 'privately owned' just means that one person owns more then 50% of the stock. Thus any type of shareholder meetings will entirely depend on what that person votes on.
1 person in control could be good or bad.
If he makes a decision that results in a poor outcome, the company will suffer.1 -
