Concerns...

(Put this here, because I fail to see a general forum)

First off I want to state that I really do enjoy this game, but I also feel like there are some serious issues. I'm going to go over some of them here.
I'm not saying I'm an expert or anything, but I'm quite familiar with MMO's, and have some basic knowledge in game design.

Targeting system

I'm not quite sure what the devs were going for when they implemented this tab targeting system.

Prime example is on the Fighter Guild quest when you kill Doshia. She summons those orbs that you have to kill before they reach her. Well it took me a good 15 minutes to actually kill her due to the fact that even after i tabbed to them, When I swung my sword it didn't register a hit, Even though my sword clearly swung right through the model. This really kills the feel of the combat system. When i'm swinging my sword I think it should be doing damage to everything it touches especially in a game that is supposed to emulate real time combat. I shouldn't have to take up a "cleave" ability to do damage to multiple target (especially with only 5 main ability bars) Not to say there shouldn't be aoe specific abilities, but I should be able to cleave with a 4 foot sword without an ability.

Pay to "Win"

Special edition I can understand, but including an entire race, and allowing any race to play any faction for pre-orders is a bit outrageous. If this is something that is planned to continue on ESO I wouldn't expect this game to survive more than a couple years. I would honestly suggest giving the imperials to everyone, and allowing the special edition accounts to do the little pre order any race, any faction thing (even though this makes no sense lore wise) While none of this gives an outrageous unfair advantage to players I believe that it's taking a huge chunk of the game away from those who don't want to pay the extra 20$, and is quite a low blow especially since your asking for sub fee.

Bugs
If a game charges a whopping 80$ for it's special edition, and monthly subscription fee I expect it to be highly polished, and very well put together. I'm going to say right now that this game should still be in beta. It's as simple as that... There are so many clipping issues, animation errors, and game breaking bugs.
- People falling through floors
- Enemies flying around the screen
- Spells flying around the screen
- Bank bugs
- and much more from what I've heard
Seriously though I understand that you guys wanted to get this out there, and start making money on it, but it's simply not complete.

Balance

I like what you did with the whole class freedom thing, but I also feel like there are some serious balance issues. The Holy Trinity of MMO's is there for a reason, and going outside of it can be awesome, but also dangerous. Templars using bows Dragon Knights wearing cloth. All of these things make things quite confusing, and provide a lot of balance issues. Note I haven't dipped my toes into PvP so I am speaking on quite an in-experienced basis, but after taking a look at the abilities I can see loads of room for potential abuse.

In conclusion I'd like to say that regardless of all these issues I still think this game has a lot of potential, and is still really fun which goes to show that if fixed this game could be a very successful MMO, but at the same time I feel that if the blatant money grabbing, and sheer lack of polish continues that this game will crash and burn after the first year. I hope to see these issues resolved very soon as I can not see paying a monthly subscription fee to play a game which feels like it's still in beta. Thanks for your time, and I'd love to hear some feedback.

Targeting - I'm not completely sure what you're complaining about, the targeting system or the fact that you can't hit multiple foes or that fact that your attack seems to do nothing sometimes.

If you think Imperial is Pay to Win then you and I (and many others) have very different ideas of what Pay to Win means. Yay some racials that aren't significantly better than anyone else and the ability to make your stuff look Imperial. Nice bonus for those who want it, hardly pay to win.

Bugs - All MMOs have them, especially at launch. There's no denying that. It is significantly better than beta was to be sure. Perhaps part of the problem is that not everyone experiences the same bugs. No one in my guild has experienced the falling through the floor or the bank bugs for example. Doesn't mean they're not there. It just means that finding what causes them may be more difficult than it appears.

Balance - How is balance an issue when everyone has access to everything other than the 3 class skills? It comes down to how you make your character and how you play it rather than arbitrary class balance. Elder Scrolls has always been about freedom in character build and if that gets tossed to the wayside the game can no longer truly be an ES game.

Pay to win? You realize the reason they made that change is from the massive public outcry when they announce that certain races were locked into certain areas. That has never really been a part of TES lore. You have always been able to find most races in all area's of the game. Every city will have a few of each race and then be dominated by whatever the most common human in the area might be. There were many folks that were not going to buy the game unless they opened up that particular aspect. I am one of them and I have played every TES game so far. But if I can't play a high elf sorc with my friend who is an orc DK, then I don't want to play.
What is written above are my honest opinions. If you agree then; "Great!" If you disagree; "Great!" I really couldn't care less either way.
