Annoying sound - what is it?

I started noticing this clunking sound that happens after I fight something. It's the exact same sound as that thunk you hear when your inventory is full and you try to pick something up. It doesn't happen when I'm harvesting..only when I fight - and it happens right after I kill the mob. Any idea what might be causing it? It's really annoying since it happens every time I finish fighting something...which is a lot!

Are you a dk that has the ability that after your flames die off you get healed? I get that noise all the time since I can't get health from a dead guy.

It's an ability not working.

Like what @cromica81_ESO above said.

When you use an ability that has a duration or a requirement for during fights, when it can't do what the tooltip says it should do, it will "BING" a noise.

A kind of "CAN"T DO THAT!" kind of beep.
You get the same noise when you try to mount your horse when in combat.

The annoy noise I get ever now and then is the game telling me my armor is damaged. Sounds the same as looting armor. If all your armor is good, check if you have a shield in the second slot weapon slot as that maybe damaged

Also seen it send messages to top right of the screen - mine usually are can not logout during fight. But yes is a weird sound. Wish could see system/battle messages after the battle - mainly so can see what actually did what.

That noise is starting to drive me crazy. Any way of turning it off or changing it to another sound, or silent?

Stop using automated key scripts for your attacks and you'll hear that sound my less frequently ...

I actually just respec'ed my abilities and didn't choose the morphed version that causes that noise over and over. Very annoying and I hope they fix it. No reason for it to trigger everytime you attack.

I also hear this clunk-Sound. For me it happens almost every time directly after casting Crystal Shard / Blast.

Yes, finally, I have this issue too. And I can´t disable it. It is very annoying, maybe an addon could turn this BANG sound off...

I just read this about the upcoming Patch 1.1

"Burning Embers: This ability now heals you if your enemy target dies while affected by it."

So hopefully this will make this ability better and eliminate that awful clunk sound every time you use it.
